The sun shone fiercely upon the university as we all gathered outside in the parking lot , Astrid was standing next to Brandon and Ethan in the middle of the circle with calm and collected faces. Though I knew that something was afoot. I wasn't quite sure how to describe it , my instincts were telling me that I needed to be ready. Be ready for something great , and it wasn't going to be a good thing.
" Good morning everyone , I hope you've had a wonderful sleep. We have terrible news to share. As you know the virus has almost halfway spread through the kingdom and is dragging us down the ranks among the 5 kingdoms from first to last. The other kingdoms have gotten word on this and have sadly decided to take over our slowly falling kingdom. The Viperion kingdom has made an official attack against out kingdom the Oledian Kingdom , and they have confirmed that they will only let us be if we defeat it's raiding party heading straight for us. We are only 32 amongst ourselves so we need to be prepared. We have until 3 in the afternoon to prepare that's roughly four hours from here " Astrid said with a calm and unphased tone.
Brandon took up where Astrid ended off " We are going to need to prepare we will move in parties of four , I and five more will stand ground here will the other 26 of you will live with Astrid and Ethan in the battlefield and Raiden will be out secret weapon since he possesses the most feasible power. So let's get moving everyone we don't have much time !" He said , and everyone dispersed faster than they emerged. All making towards different directions.
Well there was my instincts suspicion , we were getting raided. The question I had now is will we survive ? I needed to get ready for this raid but I was ready as I can be. My instincts assured me of that. Although why would the Viperion kingdom attack us? We were on very good terms with them. Well regardless never trust a snake. These people are known for their venomous battle style and venomous life style too. It was just a matter of time till they attacked.
I turned around and began striding away when Astrid called me over. " Raiden we need to talk in the lab please follow us" he said as he turned and waved me over.
I nodded and followed them as they headed toward the downward staircase which led to the underground lab. The hallways repeating all of our footsteps , except mine. Ever since turning I was no longer able to make a single noise besides speaking. Not even my clothes rustled anymore. We soon entered the lab , the bright lights blinding me momentarily as my eyes re adjusted my themselves to get used to the light.
The three took seats around a table and Brandon gestured me to one next to him , predictably the only available seat left. I sat down and looked at the three who looked at me with an unparalleled intensity. Was I really that unique to get such a freaking stare ?
" Raiden , I know you've discovered some new limits to your powers and abilities and have also gained some new abilities. Right ?" He said raising an eyebrow , with a slow affirming nod from me he continued " the reason why we are making you our secret weapon is your boundless abilities and the ability to heal a 100% faster than the average human body. Can we trust you to take this role whole heartedly to make sure we don't lose this battle ?" He asked raising an eyebrow in question if I'd agree to his offer.
" I'll do it " I said calmly " but I'm gonna need a few things made if we want to finish this raid party " I said with a cocky tone.
" I'm all ears " he said with an enigmatic grin , Ethan shot him the ' you just asked for a death wish ' look.
" I'm gonna need armour and two double bladed swords " I said trying to hide the smile curling on my face.
" All armour is ready for you it's in the storage container , Brandon went back and brought back all the armoury back for us so we should be fine " Astrid said gently.
" If that's the case that is all , at least to my requirements " I said closing my eyes and crossing my hands. Signalling the end of the discussion.
" So please head over to the storage area in 2 hours and get your armour ready and head to the eastern side. They won't see you coming since they'll have an 86.2 percent probability of attacking from the western side and a 13.8 percent probability of heading from north since those are the only valid directions which aren't as infected with the ferals " Astrid said standing up and heading to another separate table and began analysing some paperwork.
Taking that as my queue to dismiss myself , I got to my feet and whirled around. I continued walking down the passage and out of the lab , soon I was out in the parking lot once more. Looking around everyone was busy running around and preparing for the invasion that was to come. I also needed to make a few preparations of my own. I continued walking and headed for my bedroom , ignoring the bustle of humans pacing up and down the corridors.
Strangely enough their proximity was annoying me , my body was starting to become on edge whenever a person came within half an arms reach of me. Usually I wouldn't mind a person's proximity , but lknow my body would detest a person's proximity or even touching. Know that I speak of it only three people have spoken to me since I've turned. Are the people around here really afraid and detesting me as much as I detest them being close to me? I wasn't going to entertain that.
I reached the door of my room , twisting the handle and entering the room. Letting the door close itself behind me. I walked over to one of the wardrobes and opened the one to the left. Lying on the ground was a long rectangular suite case. I picked it up and layed it on my bed unclipping the handles to open it. Slowly I opened the case and their lied my twin blade sword. Still as sharp as ever. The rectangular angles blade at the both ends of the handle made it practical. The retractable switch lever made it more versatile and the strongly made silk sheath in the case made in gold spoke as to why this weapon was my personal favourite choice.

It was exactly 15 minutes before the first wave of attackers would arrive . Sitting in a tree in green camoflouge , I listened to my surroundings. My instincts gradually stirring deep within my conscious. It was telling me things , things that'd help me battle the Warriors bound to make this day our last , but I wasn't praying on it.
My wait over the incoming adventure was short lived as the first faint crackles of leaves were approaching down north from my current position , which was west from the university. It seems Astrid's probabilities had betrayed him. Regardless he knew anything was possible and prepared for the likeliest cases and the least likeliest cases
The faint disturbances of the grass became more frequent and slowly became louder , telling en that time was not on my side nor the guilds. I got to my feet and took position making sure my bow and arrows were ready along with my twin blades. I began traveling down towards the north eastern , just about keeping a good pace whilst jumping from one sturdy tree to another. Making sure to take my sweet time , since the only thing holding me back is the siren thatd signal they had arrived.
The faint footsteps turned into a massive melodial dance of feet as they travelled nearer and nearer to the city. From my far away hiding spot I took a deep smell of the air and identified they were upwind , which worked subliminally in my favor. The smell of poison and smoke wafted strongly over the breeze , too much for my liking. I reached from behind my back and pulled out the little radio , pushing the button I spoke clearly.
" Make sure everyone has a gas mask on or is able to withstand highly potent poisons " I released the button and waiting for a response but nothing came , so I just had to hope recieved the message.
From the direction of the university , the sirens began ringing. It was time , I quickly moving in a slow jog ahead to the side of the attacking party. The battle for thy land has now began.
