Chapter 14

Raiden's POV

My mind finally woke from its sleep , I felt a sharp pain going through my head. The pitch darkness in my mind was kind of worrying. I felt that my energy was drained , there was little energy left in my body. I wondered what had happened. I turned over to the other side , feeling the sunlight on my eye lids. I opened my eyes heavily , facing the black wall of my room. How did I end up in my room , wasn't I in the medical room just a while ago?

“ Please don't terminate him , he is still human like us. I promised that I'd make sure he didn't hurt anyone , and as you can see he technically didn't hurt anyone! “ I heard Ethan's voice from behind me. I wanted to give him a tight hug , but I wanted to hear what was going on before anyone noticed.

“ One , he literally punched the breathe out of your lungs and knocked me out plain cold in mere seconds. Two , he lost control ad we agreed that id he lost control then the deal would be off “ I heard Astrid's calm yet cold voice say , not too far away from me.

What deal is he talking about ? What does this mean ? I asked myself silently , my muscles tensing for some strange reason.

“ I know that was the agreement but , You should understand. He only lost control because he wanted to protect Brandon. You saw with your own eyes on that camera footage how close he was from getting his head chopped off !!“ Ethan snapped.

My heart sank as the memories came flooding back , What I did to Trevor , Astrid and my brother. How quickly I'd ended the attack. It all came back to me. A stray tear rand down my face , to the side since I was still lying against the sofa. Astrid was right , I am hostile.

“ We know , but the fact that he still lost control just further proves my point as to how much of a liability he is than an asset !“ Astrid shouted at the same tone.

It felt as though a knife just cut through my heart , I closed my eyes and I tried to force the tears back. I never knew Astrid just saw me as a liability , not a person. Just a …thing.

“ You guys calm down , I know that he can lose control at anytime , but we can't just throw him out. He is family after all “ a rough voice said.

At least Brandon was also on my side , but I knew very well that the rest possibly weren't. Probably? Definitely.

“ If that's the case , we will put hin back in that glass cell , keep his power to a low minimum. Just enough for him to stay alive , and we aren't going to lethi out until we reverse that virus.“ Astrids voice was cold and heartless.

My mind further reminded me of the memories in that cell , I didn't want to talk about it. I was without a doubt never going back into that room.

“ This is inhuman , isn't he just like us? “ I heart Ethan's voice break with every word “ anger and frustration lacing in his voice.

I sympathized in his pain , his suffering angered me. I my took great metal will to not snap at this point. Astrid had betrayed me , I shouldv never trusted him.

“ As much as I'd like to be on your side Ethan , I have to choose logic here for all of our sakes. We should contain him so he doesnt become a hazard. It's the smarter option “ Brandon said calmly.

So this was really it ? I wasn't going to let the lock me up like an animal. I have rights , I know I messed up and I should only be disappointed with myself my.

“ So , there isn't any way I can convince you guys otherwise “ Ethan asked , sadness and defeat lacing in his voice.

“ No “ Astrid said plainly , he is heading there now before he wakes up.

This was enough. I got to my feet as quickly as possible and jumped off the bed. Astrid and Ethan's eyes widened in shock while Brandon only shook his head in some sort of dissapointment.

“ I'm not going back there , and there is nothing you can do about it “ I shouted in rage , gritting my teeth and clenching my bare hands into fists.

“ You are Raiden , your a liability and a dangerous problem . Just be grateful we aren't planning on killing you “ Astrid stoof up from the table , slowly walking towards me , his eyes began glowing slightly purple.

I jumoed over him with elegance as I landed on the other side and ran past Ethan , who just jumoed out of the way. Looks of hope and sadness in his eye. I opened the door and began blitzing through the hallway. My speed was hindered due to the lack of energy I had in my body. I began breathing hard as I ran down the stairway. I could hear rapid footsteps quickly on my chase. Once I reached the bottom staircase , I looked around and saw the exit down the left hall.I began sprinting as fast as I possibly could.

A loud thump and grunt cane from behind me , I looked back to see Brandon starting to run again. He quickly caught up to me and I started running for dear life at this point. I wasn't fast enough because I was to week. Brandon slammed me to the ground , I felt the wind getting knocked outof my chest , the force of the impact too  much for me to handle.

I gasped for air and my body gave up , I lied there still as a dead person. I felt Brandon's chest pulsating against my back. I needed to get out of here , I took a deep breathe in and started regretting what I was going to do. I emitted a last resort electrical shock field , I felt the electricity quickly travel through my body as I felt the energy quickly sapped out of my body.

Brandon lightly groaned as he resisted the 6 second shock , after the attack finished my body was done for. I couldnt feel my limbs anymore.

“ Sorry Raiden. I didn't want to do this anymore that you wanted to make a run for it.“ He said lowly before grabbing my neck. Soon i get 5 points in my neck pop.

My vision began blurring out , I was slowly losing my continuous. I tried fighting it but I was too weak to do much besides falli into th darkness. My head slumped over and lightly hit the ground.

Darkness overtook me once more.
