Chapter 13

Brandon's POV

I slowly opened my eyes , my vision was still in blurry. So I thought it was best I kept on the floor. A sharp headache woke up and I slowly rubbed my temple. When my vision got good enough for me to trust my eyes , I sat upwards and looked around to see what'd happened.
Trevor was limp on the ground , a tiny pool of blood slightly soaked his head.

I remember me fighting me , before landing that dangerous blow on me. I felt the poison hat came along with it had done some pretty bad damage to my torso and abdomen. I sighed as I looked over t see Ethan panting , he was down onto his knees and his left hand was lying on his chest. Astrid wasnt far from him , he looked like a total wreck , his always smooth hair , frazzled and looked somewhat unkept. He wasn't moving but I could see his chest moving , so he was probably just unconscious.

Wait , where is Raiden! I'm pretty sure I left him on that bed over there!My head frantically shot side to side. My breathing escelated and my worry rose , I tried getting up to my feet when the pain in my torso forced me pack to the floor. I let out a small groan , the pain only intensified. I looked at Ethan who had finally realised I was awake.

" Where is Raiden! " I asked in a slight shout. I couldn't hold it in , I knew Raiden could take care of himself at times but he was injured and couldn't do much when Trevor attacked. To find him missing now didn't mean anything good.

Ethan looked down , his hands curling into fists , he looked up at me. His eyes held anger , sadness and shock.

" Ethan , please tell me. Where is your brother? If he isn't ......" my voice died out , I couldn't bare having lost one my closest friends sibling. Even if we weren't related.

" I don't know " he said softly.

My eyes widened when he said that , I got to my feet and rushed over to him before crouching in front of him and grabbing him by the collar. " What do you mean you don't know!? " I shouted frantically.

I looked into his eyes , tears started running down his cheeks. His shoulders slumped and his face fell into his hands. My heart also felt bad , it emoathised his pain. I hugged him close to me and rubbed my hand over his shoulder.

" He lost it , he lost his sanity. He murdered that guy over there and then proceeded to take out Astrid. After that he took off , he wiped out the rest of the Viperion warriors in less than a minute. " He said softly before looking back up at me.

The sadness in my heart left. I looked into his eyes before reassuring him. " Don't worry , I'll find him and bring him back " I said before releasing him and standing up again. I walked out of the massive opening if the wall before seeing the massacre that a 15 year old did in less than a minute.

I saw fleets of warriors on the ground dead , I walked past them and started jogging around the campus , as I jogged by I could see the others already clearing the dead bodies into a nearby revine. This university was too big to search alone for one kid who would possibly not be in control.

I crouched down to one knee , and touched the ground with one hand . I felt the energy in my body was rapidly declining because of the blow I took. A pulse traveled through the ground , I stayed there for a while , waiting for a response. Soon enough I heard his fain heartbeat. I got back up and started running in his direction.

I reached one of the large oak trees that thrived in this place. I looked at the trunk to see an unconcious Raiden on the ground. I rushed towards him and quickly slowed down. I got to one knee and looked at him. He didn't seem to be injured in any way , my focus landed on his neck which was now completely healed. I didn't know how long I was out but the moon had now barely just stuck out. So it shouldn't have been more than two hours. It should've just mostly healed. Not completely , and if seeing that he got here probably meant he did a lot of neck movement and that should've set the healing back a lot.

I shook the though out of mind and lifted him into my arms. He looked drained , and his face showed cocern. I carried him back towards the dormatory , trying to make sure not to wake him up. I doubt he would be able to do anything though , I could sense that he depleted all his energy. It would take a while before he can even stand up with the strain his body took.

While heading past the partially destroyed road , I could see Alex. He caught me and jogged towards me , but he stopped when he finally caught sight of who I was carrying. " Hey , I thought he'd be long gone by now " he said softly.

I furrowed my eyebrows and sent him a partial glare. " What do you mean , he's be gone. As in dead ?" I questioned Alex softly.

He ran his hand through his brown hair , his blue eyes catching my green ones. " No , like ran away. He took out the entire Viperion attack all at once. Plus he lost control while doing that , I assumed his absence after the attack meant he finally got back in control ad fled" he shrugged when I stared him down.

" Even if he did , I would've tracked him down. I care for everyone here and wish upon no one any harm. I hope that's clear. Now go tell Ethan and Astrid to meet me in Raiden's room won't you? " Alex stiffened and them quickly took off.

I rolled my eyes and then walked away towards the dorms. Soon enough I got to his door and opened it. I set him down on his bed and sat down next to him. A sharp pain went through my torso , I squinted my eyes furiously before clenching my teeth. I sighed when the pain finally passed over , I looked down at Raiden , how I would've felt if this kid lost his life out there.

I sighed and took off the tank top I was wearing , I looked down and saw my skin turning black. The guys attack was a lot more lethal than I thought. I frowned and got back to my feet. I rummaged around the room without making a mess , in search for a medical aid kit. I finally found one in a drawer Raiden's bed and opened it. I took out the bandage , I didn't need anything else from there. I had my own ways of healing.

I sat back down on the sofa with a grunt , I put my hands on my sides and started releasing impulses through my abdomen. After that I tightly rapped it with the bandage. I tucked it around and also tightened it around my shoulder to make sure it didn't get loose. I lied back on the bed , listening to the footsteps coming towards this room.

The door flung open and I lifted my head to see who it was , Ethan and Astrid slowly walked in. I saw relief overtake Ethan's posture as he looked at the sleeping Raiden , who was peacefully sleeping on a the bed right besides me.

" I thought he'd be gone by now " Astrid whispered as he closed the door behind him. His eyes flickered to Raiden and then to me , specifically the large bandage around my abdomen.

" Did he attack you? If he did , I'm so so sorry. I'll make sure I keep my promise up at higher standards !" Ethan said before dropping on his knees in apology.

I stood up and walked over to him before reaching out numy hand to him , he looked at me before sighing and taking my hand. " I found him unconscious next to a tree , he wasn't hurt or anything " I said , a smile gleaming on my face..

He sighed in relief before sitting down , back against the wall.
" We need to talk about the situation we have at hand concerning
..." I nodded towards Raiden.

Ethan and Raiden nodded before Astrid locked the door and took a seat on a table next to the window. " I'm listening " he said quite coldly.
