Lan Wangji playful antics brought laughter to the entire Lan sect, making him a beloved figure among his peers with his bright smile and boundless energy, he roamed the lush gardens and serene landscapes, always looking for the next opportunity for fun.

From a young age, Lan Wangji's mischievous nature led him into all sorts of trouble but with the arrival of Ren Yu, his life becomes even more colourful as both of them cause a lot of mischief on each other which causes trouble for the entire sect.

Lan Wangji's stern uncle, Lan Qiren, often tried to instill caution in him by spinning terrifying tales of humans who captured and consumed young demons.

Lan Wangji is still not allowed to go anywhere outside the Cloud Recess because his uncle has scared him that there are humans roaming around Gusu.

Lan Qiren would warn, “You must be careful. Humans are dangerous creatures. They’ll eat you up.”

These warnings only fueled Lan Wangji's imagination, making him both fearful and curious about the outside world.

As fate would have it, Lan Wangji's future was entwined with that of a young man named Ren Yu, who was 23 years old.

Due to societal customs and a curse, Ren Yu couldn’t marry until he turned 25, but his engagement to Lan Wangji was already decided.

This arrangement was both a source of excitement and a little anxiety for both young men.
