James held my unconscious body tightly, gently stroking my messed up hair.
"what were you thinking baby.." James cooed in my ear waiting for me to wake up.

I stir slightly, feeling someone stroking my hair. I open my eyes slowly, feeling confused and disoriented. I look up at the person holding me, and I see a familiar face
"James?"
I ask, my voice hoarse and weak.

everything feels fuzzy and I'm not really sure how i ended up in a car.

James pulled some hair out my face, his hand resting on my cheek.
"i thought i told you no?" he said light heartedly, his thumb grazing my bottom lip. "i told you no to the party baby, this is why. you hit your head really hard."

i look at him, and I see the concern in his eyes. I feel a twinge of guilt, and I know he's right. I should have listened to him. But I couldn't help it.
The party, it made my feel alive, But now, seeing the disappointment on James's face, I wish I had stayed home.
"I'm sorry, James. I know. I Just... I just wanted to feel like me...."
i say, my voice breaking a little.

James looked at me, his eyes full of compassion and understanding. He knew I was trying, and he was just worried about me.

"It's okay Dianna, I know. But you have to take care of yourself too. I didn't want you to get hurt, and I just wanted you to be safe."
He says, his hand caressing my face.
"I just want what's best for you."

James smiles, and leans in to kiss me softly on the lips.
"You're my world, Anna. And I'll always be here for you."
He says, his arms wrapping around me tightly in a warm embrace.
"how did you know i was at the party?" i ask looking up at him, cocking my head in curiosity.

James laughs softly, and kisses the top of my head.
"You can't leave at 9 o'clock at night without me knowing, you think I'm that careless?"
He says, playing along with me.
"I have my ways of finding out these things, you know.. like batman."

I laugh, and playfully hit his arm.
"You wish you were batman. You're more like.. green lantern." I say, a cheeky smile spreading across my face

James looks down at me, and smiles, his hand gently stroking my cheek.
"we need to have a talk about that party, and why you went against my word." He adds, his tone a bit more serious.

"wait who's driving?" i say trying to get a looking into the seat in-front of me
I do not want ti talk about it
"Derik." James says , nodding to the front of the car, where lizzie also sat.

"Hi, Dianna. How are you feeling?"
She asks, her voice soft and gentle.

"Not too good." I say, my voice a bit weak. "I've got a killer headache, and I feel like I've been hit by a truck."
I rub my temples, trying to massage my head to ease the pain.
"i can't believe you didn't invite me and jenny." she says in a fake pouty voice.

I laugh, and lean my head against James' chest.
"I'm sorry Lizzie. I didn't mean to leave you guys out." I say, feeling guilty.
"Maybe next time we can all go together, we'll have lodes of fun."
I add, looking up at James.

James and Derik both say 'no' in unison, clearly not interested in the idea of going to a party.

Lizzie rolls her eyes and leans back in her seat, pouting.
"Fine, be boring."

"We're not boring. We just have grownup things to do."
James says, his arm wrapped around me as he pulls me closer.
"We don't need to go to parties to have fun." He says, kissing the top of my head.

Lizzie scoffs again.
"Quality time. Whatever that means. Sounds lame to me."
she sounds like an 8 year old, as she crosses her arms and pouts.

eventually we pull up to James house and James carries me inside saying bye to lizzie and Derik.

James carries me to my room setting me on the end of the bed.

"what do you wanna wear to bed then?" he asks kneeling in front of me.

I look down at myself, still wearing my outfit from the party, and shrug.
"I don't know, I just wanna get this off."
I say, gesturing to my clothes.
"Can you help me?"
I ask, looking at James with a tired but hopeful expression.

James looked at me a little stunned
I blush slightly, realizing how that must have sounded.
"I-I mean help me change into something more comfortable. And clean. Not...like that..."

*James smiled at me, and shook his head.*
"sorry...I'm not used to you being so direct, that's all."
He says, laughing a-bit as his hand reached up to my face, his thumb stroking my cheek.
"Come on, let's get you out of those clothes and into something more comfortable."
He adds, standing, picking me up with him as he made his way ti the wardrobe.

I let out a small gasp as James picked me up and I wrapped my arms around him.
he started rummaging through my clothes. I watched him, feeling a bit dazed.

"What are we looking for?"
I asked, my voice still hoarse from the party.
"you remember that jumper with the lamb on it? the one i got you when we went out."

i nod and he rummages through my jumpers until he finds the lamb jumper.
"Ah, here it is."
He says, holding it up for me to see. It's a cute jumper, with a big woolly lamb on the front.
"This is my favourite of your jumpers. I just wish you'd wear it more often. It's so cute on you."
He adds, a soft smile on his face.

I smiled, feeling a bit embarrassed. It's not often that I wear cute clothes like this, but James always seems to enjoy it when I do.

I pull the jumper over my head, feeling the soft fabric against my skin. I look up at James, and smile.
"How do I look?"
I ask, twirling around a bit to show off the jumper.
