"you like the duck?" i say from my position against the doorframe.

"yea, he's cute." she say's continuing to waterboard the rubber toy.
"he?"

"boys can wear pink toooo yano." she says snapping her head towards me, giving me a menacing look.

i roll my sleeves up as i kneel down behind her, setting my chin on the same ledge the nape of her neck rested against .

"were you so cold you needed a massive bath?" i asked twirling a-bit of her hair.

"yea, my fingers were like- blue." she tells me turning her head to the side to look at me.
"maybe thats a sign not to take your gloves off just because its harder to make snow balls with them."

she rolled my eyes, smiling playfully.

"And miss out on throwing a perfectly aimed snowball at your face? No way," she retorted, raising an eyebrow. "You should've known better than to challenge me to a snowball fight. I never back down from a challenge, especially when it involves hitting you with snow."

i gave her a mock scowl, rubbing my reddened face where the snowball had hit him. "You really know how to hit hard, don't you?" i muttered, though there was a hint of amused admiration in my voice.

"did it?" she asked sitting up slightly, regret filling her eyes.

i smiled, shaking his head. "No, it didn't hurt. I was just teasing," i reassured, a soft smile playing on my lips. "You throw like a champ, by the way. Maybe we should consider you joining a professional snowball-throwing team?" i joke, tucking a-bit of hair behind her ear.

She rolled her eyes, a smirk playing on her lips. "Oh, please, as if that's even a thing," she replied, unable to hide her amusement. "But thanks, I just have a mean arm I guess." She leaned back, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she looked at me. "So, do I get a prize for winning this war?"

"a hot chocolate?" i say making her perk up a-bit.
"marshmallows?" she asks, eyes wide like i had just offered her a puppy.

i felt my dace light up as i looked at her.
"you wanna get out now."

she nodded her head and i grabbed a big fluffy towel leaving it in arms reach as i stepped out the bathroom.

"thanks." i heard her call as i walked down the hall into the kitchen ready to make her hot chocolate.

i had to stop as i grabbed the mugs though, seeing my mums car still in the driveway.
me and my mother don't get along. she doesn't like the idea of me missing out on a "real family" and a "real baby"
she wanted me to be a dom, her idea of perfect.

i don't want the life she has.
i want Dianna.

"mom why are you still here?" i ask as i walk out to her car window.

"i missed you baby.. come home, please. that- woman can find another... daddy. it doesn't have to be you. don't ruin your life over this." she tells me and suddenly the familiar ringing in my ears becomes louder.

"mom. stop. i want this life. wether it means your in it or not.
i want Dianna. and if you cant get over, your obsession with me being a dom then i think its best if we cut contact. for good." i tell her, and i watch her face pale.

"youd give up your family for that- stranger." he questioned, anger seeping into her tone.

"dianna. is the only person person that brings out the real me. if anyone is the stranger, its  you." i say beginning to walk back to the house, stopping when i saw Dianna in the doorway.
in her underwear and a sweater

she wasn't even looking at me, she was just smiling at my mother, waving her bye.

i almost laughed at the idea of what must have been going on in her brain.
"get inside oh my god your barely dressed." i say shooing her instead.
