Mingming

I'm wearing my uniform as a chef. We're here in the kitchen. Our task is to make a perfect roasted chicken na basic para sa'kin.

Our prof is walking back and forth in front of us, while me and my classmates are lined up here at the kitchen counter.

I already did it nang lutuan ko yung mga tukmols nito dati, but i don't know if i will cook it perfectly now.

"Remember to wash your hands thoroughly and tie back your hair. Safety is always our top priority." Our prof reminded us.

"Pay attention to the techniques we've learned. Practice makes perfect!"

Our prof stopped in our front. "Don't be afraid to taste your dish as you cook. Adjust the seasoning as needed. understand?"

"Yes chef!" We said. At nag umpisa nang mag luto

I started by preheating the oven to 425°F (220°C) and gathering all of the ingredients I would need. I rinsed the chicken inside and out with cold water, then patted it dry with paper towels.

I mixed together olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a small bowl.

I rubbed the mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get it under the skin as well.

I placed the chicken in a roasting pan and added lemon slices and fresh herbs to the cavity. I covered the roasting pan with aluminum foil and put it in the oven.

As the minutes ticked by, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. I don't know what exactly they do dahil nakatuon lang ang pansin 'ko sa ginagawa 'ko.

After 1.5 to 2 hours, I removed the aluminum foil and continued roasting for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the skin was golden brown. I basted the chicken with the pan juices every 20 minutes during the last hour of roasting.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the chicken was cooked. I let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.

As I took my first bite, I couldn't help but smile. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the aroma of fresh herbs and lemon filled the air.

Fuck! Sabi 'ko sa inyo ehh, i know how to do it.

Almost all of us finished cooking so we placed it in front of our prof in a row.

Isa-isang tinikman ng prof namin yung luto namin, while he write our score in his record.

When our prof tasted mine.

I took a glimpse of him dahil nakayuko ako. He write my score in his record at nilagpasan ako.

This is my only class ngayong araw kaya pagtapos kong magpalit ng damit, umalis na 'ko.

Kakapal.
Pero ok lang. Diet ako.
