-The party encounters a dwarf hunting party. My brother (the DM) had assumed that several characters in the party knew Dwarvish. Imagine his surprise when my character (a moon elf, mind you) is the only one who speaks Dwarvish. So you have an elf speaking Dwarvish to the dwarves and translating for the rest of the party.
