(AN: this is another one of my brother's custom/original stories. I can only do some much to fill out the world-building stuff lol)

History/Quick backstory: Kennedy grew up in a loving household. Her father worked as a political bodyguard, working hard to protect their leaders. Perhaps he was too good....because someone wanted him dead, and by extension his family. Luckily (and unluckily) for Kennedy she wasn't home when the attack happened. But....she came home to a massacre, her family dead. She became a bodyguard in memory of her father, and also to find out who killed (and/or had) her family (killed). She's thrown herself into the path of revenge, eventually attracting a demon. They formed a pact, the demon gave her (magic essentially) as its part of their bond.
