Dhruv and Shree stood together in the cozy kitchen. Shree looked up at Dhruv, her lips forming a slight pout as she spoke.

"Do I really have to do it?" she asked, her eyes pleading.

"Yes, Shree," Dhruv replied with a gentle but firm tone, crossing his arms as he leaned against the counter.

"But why? You're here, na? You can cook," Shree insisted, hoping to sway him.

Dhruv chuckled, his tone patient. "Because it's a basic skill, Shree. Everyone should know how to cook, at least the basics."

Shree sighed, her pout growing more pronounced. "But I don't want to."

Dhruv's face softened, and he leaned closer. "Alright, how about this-if you learn to cook, I'll give you a reward."

Shree's eyes lit up instantly, a spark of excitement spreading across her face. "Pakka?"

( Promise )

He nodded, smiling at her reaction. "Yes. So, tell me, what would you like as a reward?"

Shree thought for a moment, her finger tapping her chin playfully. "Mein soch kar bataungi," she said, drawing out her words with a mischievous grin.

( I will tell you after thinking about it )

Dhruv chuckled, unable to hide his amusement at her antics. "Theek hai, you can think about it. But since tomorrow's Sunday, we'll go out as an extra reward."

( Okay )

Shree's face brightened even more. "Okay! Let's get started then."

With renewed enthusiasm, Shree began gathering ingredients, her hands moving quickly as she placed vegetables, spices, and utensils on the counter. Dhruv stood beside her, his lips tugging into a smile as he shook his head at her enthusiasm.

As she began chopping the vegetables, Dhruv observed her technique closely. "Arrey, ese nahi. You'll end up hurting yourself," he said, gently taking the knife from her hand. For a brief moment, their fingers brushed against each other, sending an unexpected shiver down Dhruv's spine. He felt something he couldn't quite explain.

( Not like this )

"Ye mujhe kya ho raha hai," Dhruv thought to himself, but quickly shaking off the feeling, he focused back on the task. "Look, this is how you do it," he said, demonstrating the chopping technique with precision.

( What is happening to me )

Shree nodded, watching closely. "Like this?" she asked, attempting to mimic his method.

Dhruv raised an eyebrow, impressed. "I must say, you're a quick learner."

Shree flashed a proud smile. "Say something I don't know, Professor sahab."
