Dhruv carefully maneuvered the car into the parking lot before stepping out. The night air was cool, and the faint hum of the city was beginning to fade as they ascended the stairs to their apartment. Once inside, exhaustion took over, and they both slumped onto the couch. The stillness of the room was a welcome change after a long day.

Shree, her posture relaxed yet regal, turned to Dhruv. "Dhruv, I am thirsty," she said, her voice soft but firm as she shifted to find a more comfortable spot on the couch.

Dhruv leaned back, resting his head against the couch's edge. "Tum kitchen me jaogi toh mere liye bhi paani le aana," he quipped lazily.

( If you go to the kitchen, bring the water for me too )

Shree, unbothered, shot back without missing a beat, "Main kahin nahi ja rahi, tum jaoge." Her tone was resolute, her eyes daring him to argue.

( I am not going anywhere, you will go )

"Par tum bhi toh ja sakti ho na? Main hi kyun jaaun?" Dhruv retorted, a hint of indignation creeping into his voice.

( But you can also go, why would I go )

Shree's eyes narrowed mischievously as she countered, "Aapki age kya hai?"

( What's your age )

"Twenty-six. But why?" Dhruv asked, his confusion evident as he turned to face her fully.

Shree leaned forward slightly, her expression one of mock disbelief. "Mujhe nahi lagta ki aap 26 ke ho," she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

( I don't think that you are 26 years old )

"Haan, main handsome hoon na. Isliye tumhe laga hoga," Dhruv replied, grinning smugly, the pride on his face unmistakable.

( Yes I am handsome, that why you thought this )

Shree's expression morphed into one of feigned disgust. "Harkatein... harkatein nahi hain aapki 26 saal ke insano jaisi," she remarked sharply, shaking her head. "Bade aaye... handsome," she added, mimicking his earlier boast.

( Actions...you actions doesn't match you age )

Dhruv groaned dramatically, throwing his hands up in mock defeat. "Haan, haan, laata hoon paani. Jab dekho tab meri harkatein judge karne lagti ho," he muttered as he stood up and walked toward the kitchen.

( Fine, I'll bring the water, always judgey actions )

As soon as he left the room, Shree allowed herself a quiet chuckle. "He wasn’t wrong, though, he is heavenly handsome," she whispered under her breath, her gaze lingering on the kitchen door. A small smile played on her lips.

Moments later, Dhruv returned with a glass of water. Shree took it gratefully, sipping slowly before setting the empty glass down. Without exchanging further words, they both headed toward their bedroom, too tired to bother with dinner.
