Dhruv's voice broke the silence as he glanced towards Shree. "I think we should leave, Shree," he said, his tone calm but insistent."Hmm... theek hai," Shree responded nonchalantly, before, with a playful glint in her eyes, she bent toward Mahendra's feet.
( Okay )
Mahendra's brows shot up in confusion as he pulled his legs back in surprise. "Kya kar rahi ho?" he asked, his voice a mixture of amusement and curiosity.
( What are you doing )
"Ashirwad, sasurji," Shree said, half-serious, half-joking, her lips curling into a mischievous smile.
( Taking blessings Father-in-law )
Dhruv chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Pata nahi kis muhurat mein mein is nautanki se mila tha," Dhruv muttered under his breath, a soft smile tugging at his lips as he observed the banter.
"Agar sasur-bahu milap ho gaya ho toh chale?" Dhruv teased with a raised eyebrow.
( If you are done with your meeting, then should we leave )
Shree nodded, but before leaving, she stepped closer to Mahendra, leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Ye toh bas shuruaat hai, Mahendra Singh Rathore. Abhi toh main aapko police ke hawale nahi kar rahi hoon kyunki main jaanti hoon ki aap apni pahunch laga kar chut jaayenge, par yaad rakhna iska badla main zaroor loongi. Shree Mathur naam hai mera. Bhool mat jaana."
( This is just the beginning, Mahendra Singh Rathore. Right now I am not handing you over to the police because I am sure you will get away with your mischief, but remember I will definitely take revenge for this. My name is Shree Mathur. Always remember )
"Retrieve my belongings," Shree commanded, and within moments, a woman promptly handed her the items.
With a sly smile, she turned and walked back toward Dhruv, who was already heading to the car. They slipped inside, and Dhruv started the engine, the low hum filling the space between them.
As the car moved forward, Dhruv broke the silence. "Tumne kya kaha unke kaan mein?" he asked, eyes focused on the road, though his tone hinted at mild curiosity.
( What did you whispered in his ear )
"Kuch bhi nahi," Shree replied, turning her head to gaze out of the window, her expression unreadable.
( Nothing )
Dhruv, sensing her reluctance, didn't press further. For a while, they drove in silence, the city lights flashing by. Then, as if unable to hold back his thoughts any longer, he asked, "Tumhe shooting kaise aati hai or tumhare pas hun kaha se ayi?" His voice held a slight edge of skepticism.
( How do you know shooting and from where did you got the gun )
Shree, turning back to look at him, said with a straight face, "Woh college mein shooting mera favorite sport tha or gun wo mene Mahendra Singh Rathore ke bete ke pocket me se nikal li thi."
