Amber could feel shame and understanding trickling in as her mind cleared. Phayu was cooking for them, leaving them both seated at table drowning in their shame. At least she could understand why Rain had given in. He still loved Phayu. She was sure of that now. What excuse did she have? How could she have been so shameless? She had no right to get angry or territorial over Rain after the scandalous way she had behaved. Ayan had been right. If she was going to be out and make a fool out of herself, it would be better to be grounded. She kept making one wrong decision after other. No wonder her brother was worried and disappointed in her. She kept getting into mess. She was going home. There was no point in sitting here waiting to hear Phayu gloat about making her submit. She had embarrassed herself enough.

Amber stood up to leave making Rain and Phayu look at her and surprisingly they both looked concerned. Maybe it's her wishful thinking.

"Where are you going?" Phayu asked bringing over the food.

"Home."

"I think we should talk first-"

"There's nothing to talk about. I....I'm sorry for behaving in such a disgraceful manner."

Phayu frowned at the bowed head of Amber, "You don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong. That's why we need to have a conversation-"

"You guys can discuss whatever you've going on between yourself. I'll just leave. Rain, I'm sorry. I...." Amber could feel tears gathering in her eyes and it would break her confidence completely if she cried in front of them. She had humiliated herself enough. "I'll just go home. Whatever you decide you can let me know later."

Before they could stop her she was out of the door. She hurried back home praying Ayan and Akk wouldn't be back. She was already at the edge. Fortunately they were still not home. She quickly rushed to her room and stepped into the shower tweaking the knob at freezing temperature and cried over the mess she called her life.  She cried for everything that has gone wrong in the last few days. She had lost Rain and her dignity in a span of a few hours.

What had come over her?

She wasn't a s.....s-slut, right?

Isn't that what this made her? Oh god, Rain was definitely going to break up with her and to be honest even if he didn't, their relationship was definitely over. She couldn't date a guy who still loved his ex. That came with different sort of baggage and she wasn't ready to deal with it.

Akk was running around making sure everything was in place for the visit from the Chairman. Last few days had gone in the preparation for the visit, perfecting everything, completing the documentation.  The visit was impromptu and everyone in the management was shaken up. Even while being neck deep into work, Akk couldn't help but worry about Amber. The last few days have been nothing short of difficult. His heart still ached to remember that night, the bruises littered all over Amber's body, the terrified look in her eyes. He shuddered to think how terribly it all could have ended and they were lucky to count their blessings. He could understand why Ayan wanted Rain out of Amber's life but Akk could see sincerity in that kid's eyes. He genuinely loved Amber and had tried hard to protect her. He'll have to talk to Ayan about this. He hadn't talked to Ayan properly since the incident. He could understand how deeply shaken Ayan was and was desperate to make it better for him in any way. Maybe he could take him out for dinner on Sunday. It would be a nice distraction from everything going on.

Chairman came for the visit along with his son, Kyle meeting every department head and taking the stock of recent and ongoing projects. Akk was jittery with nerves since Mew was out of the office for a conference and that left Akk in charge for the day. Fear of messing up and not being good enough plagued his mind as he ran all over the place fixing anything even remotely out of order. At the back of his mind he knew everything was up to date and running as smoothly as possible yet his insecurities made his sweat bullets as he waited for the inspection to be over.

It went on for over an hour, not because he did a stellar job and the chairman was impressed instead he had fumbled so bad he had taken longer than necessary to explain simple stuff. What the fuck was wrong with him? How could he fumble even the simplest things? Mew would be so disappointed in him. He had trusted Akk with a minimal responsibility and what had Akk done? Messed it up in spectacular fashion. It had started pretty well, Akk had explained the successful projects they had completed this year but few cross questions got him nervous. Not because he couldn't answer them, it was all due to Chairman's son, Kyle. The guy kept staring at him intensely, running his eyes all over Akk like he was a freak amongst them.

He knows it is no excuse and he should have done his job better but his skittish behaviour got their attention making them judge him harder which made him tensed and it lead to an epic failure. All the way home, he kept cursing his inability to do anything properly, wrecking things and making it harder for everyone around him. Would he get fired? He hoped it wouldn't come to that. He couldn't afford to lose his job. As soon as he reached home, he made the beeline for the bathroom, the urge to scrub himself clean from the looks of Kyle was inexplainable. He could feel phantom touch of eyes lingering too long where they shouldn't.

Ayan could feel something was amiss on call with Akk. Somehting must have happened at work. He knew Akk wouldn't tell him, not wanting to burden him with worries but when would Akk realize when it came to him, Ayan would always worry. How could he not? Akk was most precious person, soft and delicate, sweet and warm, in this world full of dirty, cruel people. Ayan had to shield him from every bad things around them. Akk needed him right now even if he won't say it rationalising that Amber needed him more. Ayan had a long talk with Amber and they had finally made some progress. He was glad she could see and understand his need to worry and protect her even if she had not agreed with his method, he could deal with that later.  He wasn't going to leave her alone tonight, not after what had happened, so he had called over his neighbour to look after her.

After waiting ten minutes outside Akk's apartment with no answer, Ayan felt worry spike over. He quickly punched in the door code and rushed inside. Living room was in disarray, documents and files scattered over couch and table, cups and plates piling up in the sink, clothes strewn over floor and chair, were enough indication of something amiss. Akk was a neat freak, he had to be really busy to have let his apartment get this untidy. He walked further inside and pushed open the bedroom door wondering if Akk was asleep, poor baby had be working too hard.

Akk was on bed. Eyes glassy and eyebrows furrowed in frustration, lips bitten red with anxiety. Ayan quickly went to cradle him in his arms, running his fingers through Akk's hair.

"Did something happen at work, baby?"

"Yes."

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"Not now."

"Okay, we will talk whenver you feel like it. You aren't hurt physically, right?"

"No. Just need you. Please."

"Akk, what do you need?"

Akk shrugged off the bathrobe in hurry, movements frenzy with need and want, he hadn't realized how much he craved Ayan's touch. They had been together but hardly had time to be with each other and the stress from the past week had drove him to the edge, he needed to submit, to let go.

Ayan inhaled sharply, the sight before him was sinful, Akk was clad in flimsy lingerie, leaving nothing to imagination. It wasn't his first time seeing Akk like this but it rewired his brain every single fucking time. How was it possible for a man to look that delicate and pretty was beyond him. He could stare at Akk all day long, drinking in every single detail, every curve, every dip, every inch of skin he could mark as his own.

"Akk, I don't think I can be gentle tonight. If it gets too much, use the safeword. Okay love?"

"Yes, master please touch me."

"Color?"

"Green."

Akk loved it when Ayan lost control, to have Ayan manhandle him in any way he wanted, to use him as he saw fit, keep going until he couldn't take it anymore. It was going to be a long night, not that he was complaining.
