"Grand......who was that little girl I always played with before my mother died?" He asked looking at me.
"Oh, I thought you forgot about her," I said shocked.
"How can I, actually I did, but I remember, how we always played outside, or near the trees. How she was afraid of thunder for a while. Also after my mother died, it was her last time seeing me. She got brave and kissed me on the cheek. Even though everyone thought cooties were gross, at the time. But also no one talked to me, because they thought I needed time, when I just needed people there for me. She also said something before she left. 'I'll always be here, just find me, when you need too.' Those were her last words she said.....Grand why did I forget all that?" He asked looking at me confused.
I looked at him shocked even more. How did he remember her? We made sure her memory was gone from this place, because of chief.
Also because of the pain of everyone seeing her and remembering. What had happened.
The boy looked at me waiting for my answer. Darn kids know that I'm an elder, and the keeper of memories.
"I don't know Ryan, just go home now, it is late. Almost everyone has left Sasha's now. Plus they are going to go over mates again tomorrow" I tell the boy. I know why he forgot but don't know how he remembers.
I need to get home to my family and talk to Jewel. But first I must talk to the chief.
