"Ry, can we get out yet?" "Not yet, just a little longer." Then we hear rustling coming from the woods. Out comes my dad, chief, and Grand, rushing to the wrecked car.
My mother manages to tells them that we are in the backseat. Considering the wound she has, and that she isn't healing as she should be. Since the blade of the knife had a coat of poison covering it.
Grand walked over to the back door of the seat and pulled it open harshly. Since it was stuck shut.
"You two come out with care, let's get you to safety," he tells us.
As we got out, first the boy Ry, got out. Then when he turned to help me, he saw his mother, and the condition she was in. He helped me out, and pulled me into a tight hug. "Please don't let go," he says, "okay." I responding, not quite understanding.
While this was happening, my father was trying to stop the bleeding. Which wasn't exactly happening, "I'm taking her to the doctors now. We will meet and talk later."
But the chief stopped my dad, from taking my mother right away. "Lauren, where is Grace?!" he demanded.
"I'm sorry Ben, she didn't make it. She is in the driver seat still." That was when the chief fell apart inside, and was never the same.
The chief was to stay at home, but he felt something was going to happen, something bad. Which was correct, he felt his soul tearing apart before he arrive.
He went around the car to hold his wife, and mate for the last time. Before the sirens arrived, to take her away from him forever.
My dad left carrying mother away, to reach the doctors before she got worst. While Grand told us to come and follow him, and into the woods we went.
