Confession

"Ah... shit... ahh... fuck..." I'm having a good time with this girl I met at the club, but putangina, I'm not even halfway and she's already so loud. Nakakawalang gana. "Wait, Enzo. Where are you going?" she asks as I start dressing. I glance at her, she looks unsatisfied.

"You know, you're a turn-off. You're too loud," I say, rolling my eyes. "What a waste. I made a reservation at this fancy motel for nothing." I smirk as she starts dressing, her face on the verge of tears.

"Fuck you!" she screams, storming out. I watch her until she disappears.

Sayang, maganda sana, pangit naman sa kama.

I drop onto the couch with a sigh and check my phone. It's 3:00 AM. For fuck's sake, I have school tomorrow. Napagdesisyunan ko na sa motel na 'to na ako matutulog, why bother going home just to get yelled at?

Hindi ba sila napapagod? I'm already 18, but they still treat me like a kid. Okay, fine, pasaway pa rin ako, but come on, my father still whips out the belt and now he's upgraded to punches. Ridiculous, right?

I want to get out of that house so badly, but I can't. I still need his money. Siya ang nagpapaaral sa akin sa prestigious school na 'to. Plus, I'm worried about Mom. She won't leave him.

Tangina, ganyan na ba talaga epekto ng pag-ibig? Nasasaktan ka na physically and emotionally, pero kapit pa rin dahil mahal mo? Napaka walang-kwenta.

My alarm blares, snapping me out of my thoughts. I grope for my phone, still half-asleep.

"Fuck, eight na!" I blurt, scrambling to get ready.

I head out of the motel and into the parking lot.

When I reach my car, my mom's birthday present to me. I get changed inside. I still reek of alcohol, and my head's pounding, but I need to show up to school. My teacher already gave me a warning. Damn it.

I start the engine and head straight to school.

"Mr. Villa Forte, late ka na naman!" greets my teacher. “Absent ka na nga for three days, tapos late ka pa ngayon!" the balding man barks.

I don't have time for his sermon, so I walk to my seat. I catch the smug look from that bastard, Alex.

Yeah, he's in my class now. Nakakabwiset, right? Walang hiya sila ng nanay niyang malandi.

They must've bewitched my dad to keep funding them. And look, they even got him into this prestigious school with its sky-high tuition. No way they could afford that on their own.

I glare at him, making sure he knows exactly how much I despise him.

Who'd be motivated to attend school with that asshole in the same room? Best decision, Dad ever made was not making us live with his mistress.

"Mr. Cruz, answer problem number 1. Mr. Villa Forte, answer problem number 2" our teacher calls, dragging me back to reality.

As if I'd bother. I can't even solve my own life's problems, math problem pa kaya. Nonsense.

"He can handle all of those, Sir. Matalino naman siya" I mutter with a chuckle.

"You can solve all those problems, Mr. Cruz? Show us" the teacher responds, handing the chalk to Alex.

Alex nods. Napakayabang ng gago. Wrong answers, pero mayabang. The audacity.

"Okay, Mr. Cruz is done. Let's check" the teacher says in his grating voice.

I rest my head on the desk, barely caring if Alex is right or wrong. I need sleep.

"Very good, Mr. Cruz. You aced it" the teacher drones.
