"So it's a party Saturday night . You in?" Maya asked while licking her ice cream

In what ?" I asked back
" you in ? Like as in you coming with us ?" Chris said
" ohh,, noo I told yall before I'm not the partying type and beside my mom got a new boyfriend or what you want to call him and they want me to go to dinner with them." I told them rolling me eyes
" aww, that's so cute ."

"Whatever." I said fanning her off
" what you don't like him ? Chris asked
" No. Yes. No . Maybe well idk . I mean I met him once I came home and he was there . He came up giving me a hug and talking bout so he was so excited to finally meet me and stuff. And kept asking me questions . He was just doing to much ." I told them
" Well maybe that's just his personality . A person can be happy and stuff all the time." August told me
" I guess so . I just don't like being alone with them . It's so awkward . I feel like uh third wheel. I told them shrugging

August Pov
"Hay how about you guys come with me !" Jasmine said happily
" no thank you ,I partying. " Maya told her
" yeah . That goes for me too." Chris said
" even though I'm not partying, I gotta help my moms move." I told her
" great ." She said with a straight face
" damn aug man that's the best lie you can come up with . Chris said laughing
" No you dick , it wasn't a lie , besides I don't lie . Have no reason too . I really do gotta help move ." I told him
" aww you guys are moving ?" Maya asking
" nah, she bought a whole new living set or what ever." I told them
After we finished our ice cream we all went to August house.
" aye yall we should go swimming tomorrow after school at the lake." Chris said
" uh uh , my hair gon her wet . I'll just lay down and catch some sun."
Maya said
" so what . I'll just throw you in." Chris said
" and you gon pay  for me to get my hair done to." She told him
"Shit , that ain't nun new to me. I alway pay ." Chris said looking like wtf
"Nu uh , I paid twice before ." She told him
"Correction you paid half , not even half you gave me 20 dollars." Chris told her
"Was that not half?" Maya asked
"No. It's was 120. Where on earth is 20 dollars consider half of 120." Chris said
"Well. You didn't seem to have a problem with it that day." She told him
"Yeah, because I love you and I don't complain like you ." He told her
"Oh my god, can yall just fuck and get it over with." I said
"You know our relationship isn't just based off sex you know ." Chris told me
"Could have fooled me ." I mumbled
"Wait ?" Chris said loudly
"I Said , whatever." I told him

"So is we going swimming or what?" Chris said
"Is we?"I looked at him
"Are we.. Going swimming ." He corrected hisself
" cool with me ." August said
"I guess so .ugh"Maya said
Everybody looks at me
"Well, I can't swim . But I'll still come." I told them
"Fuck you mean you can't swim." Chris said
"Girl you 17 years old and can't swim." Maya said
"So. Its lots of people 17 and older who can't swim ."I said back
"That's ... Like what if you were to just so happen to fall in a pool and you were like by your self or something." Signs said
"I'm not stupid . I obviously know not to play but a pool and any deep water type stuff if I know I can't swim." I told him
"True." He said
"Yeah but okay would you be able to get out ." Chris said
"Yea like , not swimming not could you get out the water if you fell in." Maya added
"I don't know , I never got in the water . Plus I'm an only child . So I didn't have like a younger sibling that I had to keep an eye on and had to get in the water because they weren't big enough ." I told them
"Well your getting in the water tomorrow." Maya said
"Like hell I am." I said
"Relax Hazel J, it'll be fun plus august can teach you how to swim." Chris said
" I like how you always offer my assistance without my approval." August said
"Shut up." Chris said throwing a frie
"But no. August is a good swimmer tho Haz. Like really good." Maya said
"Well are you ?" I said Turing to him
" sure why not." He said
"Good. But I'm still not getting in the water." I said eating a frie.
"We'll see about that." August said pulling in his phone
