Making Music

"Hello ?" I said In the phone
" hay girl it's me , Somaya." She said
" oh hay , wassup ?" I said
" I was wonder, did you start your song yet?" She asked
" no , not yet ." I told her.
" good, I was gonna ask did you want to do a song together?" She asked me
" sure. Where did you want to meet ?" I asked
" well im here with the boys at the school music room their doing there thing and I'm bored." She said
" lol ok I'll be there in 15 bye." I said hanging up

{20 mins later }
" so what type of song did you want to do?" I asked
" idk , can you play an instrument?" She asked
" yes, I can play , piano , guitar and a little bit of the violin." I told her
" well go girl , get on one and make sure music ." She said pushing me toward them.
I went and sat on the piano for the fact that that's the one I knew how to play the longest. I started playing and maya started writing down her lyrics . An hour later she was finished
Ok I'm finished with the first verse. Ok I'll play and you sing
" ladies ladies, we can't focus with the piano it's throwing off our beat . " Chris said walking in the room with August and some dude I never met.
" come shut up boy!" Maya said to him
" so what is yall song about anyway." The other dude asked
" we don't really know , I'm just finishing my lyrics . Hazel has to play so I can sing it . Somaya said
" well go head." August said
" yeah, let's hear it ." Chris co-signed
"Fine . Somaya play ." Somaya said

I started playing and she started

" well where's your part?" August asked looking at me
" huh, oh uh , I haven't finished it, well I didn't even start I had to play the piano so she could get her lyrics." I said grabbing my notebook
" where you going haz?"maya asked
" over there , In the corner so I can do my part." I said walking over there and sitting on the floor.
I been over here for almost in hour every now and then when I look up I see August looking at me. Then other times he'll be on his phone. Done

" you finished?"Chris asked
"Yeah." I said
" let's hear it ." Maya said
Ok, excuse me ." I said squeezing by to get to the piano .

" blow what ?" I said confused

" well I got to go pick up Casey all holla at yall later ." The boy said
"Ard trey ." They all said
"Well I got to go , see you guys later I guess." I said getting up and grabbing my stuff
"Wait where you going ?" Somaya asked
"Home." I told her
"But it's Saturday tho ." Chris said
"Yes and yesterday was Friday and tomorrow will be Sunday , what's your point ?" I said
"Soo, people just don't sit around in the house on Saturday. They go to parties and hang up ." Chris added
" well I do , every relaxing ." I said
" OH ! come to a party with us ! Tonight!" Maya said grabbing my arms
" nooooo." I said
" aww come on why not ?" She whined
" because I'm not a partying type girl ." I said
" So ! It's ok , come with us , it'll be fun ." She said
" yeah beside , you could keep my man August over here some company, I mean you know with me and maya together, he'd be the third wheel ." Chris co-signed
" nigga I'm sitting right here ." August said
" August doesn't need company and besides he have a girlfriend so that's not really called third wheeling if your not single in my book." I told them
August looked confused ,Chris looked at August confused ,and Somaya looked at me confused then turned and looked and them the same way
" what's with the faces people?" I said
" August doesn't have a girlfriend who told you that 😂?" Maya said while laughing
" Terri , I thought yall were a thing , well that's what she told me when I seen her in the office the other day ." I said
" what did she tell you ?" August asked
" I seen you looking at my boyfriend. And I was like what are you talking about . She was like August, he's mines he don't want you just so your know so you might as well not even waste your feelings . Then she walked away . Which is weird because I only went to get my schedule changed." I told them
" bitch is delusional I tell ya ." Chris said shaking his head
" they don't go out , they never did . Somaya said
August phone rung so he walked outside the door to answer it
" she wanted him since he first came to this school , but he wasn't ever interested in her , barely noticed the girl. She would always try and holla at him in the hallways and stuff but it didn't work . " she continued
" yeah and one day she was so mad because she was getting ignored she tried to cause a big scene in the hallway in front of every tryna say that he was gay and all but it backfired and she ended up looked dumb and unwanted." Chris said
" so is he gay ?" I asked a little lower confused
" no I'm not gay ." August said walking in
" oh sorry ." I said embarrassed
"Chis ,we gotta go." He said looking at me . Then Chris walked over to him and started talking
" I swear then two got some good ears, I can't never whispers shit with them in the distance , I also thought it was a family trait or something." Somaya said
" lol, they're brothers?" I asked
" no cousin but they lived together at a point when they were little and always been around eachother since in diapers , so I guess you could say they are." She told me
" aww, how cute ." I said

"soooo, you coming or what ?" Maya asked me
" coming where ?" I said pulling into her driveway
"The party with us tonight ." She said
" ehhh.. I guess but when I'm ready to go I'm leaving ." I said
" yayyyy! Ok text me the address around 8 so well know where to come get you ." She said closing the door
" ok , bye"
