Ok today in music class , I'll give you your new assignment, you will be making a song , it could be about anything you want , love , sex , drugs , as I'm sure most of you in here do already." The teacher Ms.Banks said . I'd say that since I been here she is one of my favorite teachers .
" you can work in groups up to three or you can work alone . I really don't give a shit, just make sure you get it done. 2 weeks then presentation time. Now I have to run to the office and run some errands in the build , please act your age and keep the volume down ." She said walking out the door . Soon as she left everybody either got up or turned around and started talking. I felt someone looking at me so I turned around and seen it was same dude as last time , the same dude from last time .
" Hay!" Some girl said sitting next to me . Which startled me cuz me to break eye contact
" oh sorry , didn't mean to scare ya girl." She said laughing
" oh no , you didn't scare me ,just startled me a little." I said opening my notebook and grabbing my pen .
" so I seen you checking out that eye candy over there. She said referring to staring boy.
" wha-no , I wasn't checking out any- I just felt *sigh*." I said
She laughed." Just jokes girl . But now it seem like you like him
" no, I don't . I just felt something staring at me to I turned around and he was. That's like the second time." I told her .
" whelp girl . You better take that . He's one of the sexiest niggas in here , well that is after my baby , I'm somaya by the way ." She said
" Hazel . You date one of his friends?" I said
" ye the lightskin one , with the nose ring and tats .. Hay you're pretty , I like you , why haven't we became Besties yet ?" She said
" oh ok , aha thank you and idk " I told her

*August Pov *

so I seen you checking out that eye candy over there. Somaya said referring to me
" wha-no , I wasn't checking out any- I just felt *sigh*." She told her
Somaya then laughed." Just jokes girl . But now it seem like you like him
" no, I don't . I just felt something staring at me to I turned around and he was. That's like the second time." The other girl told her .

" so what you doing Aug?" Cj asked me
" with what ?" I said
" a song nigga , maybe if you stop listening to other talk conversations and * gco*
" aye it not my fault I was blessed with very good hearing ." I said smirking
" yeah so were we but you don't see eavesdropping." Cj said
" Whatever mane ." I said pulling out my phone

I smirked to myself
" better be ." I heard Chris say
"I see in not the only one eavesdropping over here." I said eyeing Chris
" mane whatever" he said

*Hazel Pov *

"Well well well, if it isn't the freak . So what song are you doing ?" She asked walking up to me alone with her minions
"Nun of your business. " I said getting up but she pushed me back down .
" aww little Hattie doesn't want to tell, come on girls non singing hoe is weak asf. See ya loser ." She said once again knocking all of my shit out my hands .
" Great Talk." I said to myself I slid down the locker and sat down and Started to pick up all the pieces of paper that flew around. I heard laughing , I looked down the hall and seen that dude and his Friends walks in my direction. Just then my phone ringed
"Hello , hay mom." I said sliding all the papers my way fixing them
"Sweetie imma be late coming home today I have to stay some extra hours ." He told me
" ok that's fine , I have to go , k " I said
"Wait , what's wrong , are you in trouble ?" She asked . I looked up and seen them getting closer .
"Uh , no I'm not I trouble i just- have to uh , clean up my stuff it's in the hallway , it fell out my locker , call you back later bye." I said hanging out
"Your locker must have been very stuffed then. " somebody said
I looked up to a lightskin boy in front then two other boys and the one who likes to stare .
"I - uh, sure , let's go with that ." I said placing my papers in my bookbag.

" creatures of the world , nice" one of the boys said reading one of my papers out loud .
I took it from him and stuffed it in my bag
"Hazel James is it ?" The lightskin one said holding another paper . Which I also took and stuffed In my bookbag.
" yeah ." I said
" well Hazel James I'm *gco*
" Hazel , just Hazel ." I said
" Hazel.. I'm Chris, this is Cj ,Markus and August . He told me
" I'm Hazel, but you just said that ." I said shaking my head at my stupidness
" Right .. Well see you later ." He said walking away
After they walked off August handed me one of my books .
" might wanna "clean" your locker , most people ain't as nice as us to stop and help ." He said smirking and walking off
" Right .. Thanks , I'll keep that in mind ." I smiled to myself .
So he does do more then just stare. ☺️

*Later that night *
" This weekend I have a business trip to go in and I'll be back on Tuesday. So please don't have any parties and wild boys coming in and out. Don't break anything , clean up after yourself , wash the dishes, sweep up ."she told me zipping up her suitcase.
" I know mom you been talking about the trip for a week now. I got it , clean up , no parties, no boys . Heard you." I said
" good girl , that's why your my favorite." She said hugging me
" no I'm your favorite because I'm your only child . I said laughing
" well that too."
She said
*Honk honk *
" oh cabs here " she said
I helped her with her bags and watched the cab pull off.
Ugh I need a nap.
