It is now the following day, and Kara and Lena are both out together, at a shopping mall, holding hands, as they begin to do shopping for Morgan's birthday tomorrow. Upon waking up today, Morgan and Alura were a little disappointed that both of their moms would be leaving again today, but they each promised that they would be back soon, and the girls seemed to be placated by the fact that Alex, Sam, Ruby, Lori, Alura (the older) and Elizabeth would be with them still. After all, Alura and Morgan do really love their grandmas, as well as Sam and Alex, then obviously Ruby also. Despite the girls being placated by this, Kara and Lena do kind of want to make sure that they aren't gone all day long today, so that they can actually spend some more time with their daughters. The two really don't want Morgan and Alura feeling it is becoming a really common thing for them to just leave the girls behind and let them be looked after by other people. Plus, come Monday next week, Kara and Lena both plan to go back to work, meaning they will be spending even less time with the girls, and soon after that, both Morgan and Alura will be starting the school year also. So, Kara and Lena just really want to take advantage of these last few days before their lives get busy again. Then, of course, in the back of their minds, Kara and Lena are also aware that their lives could get busy, very quickly, if Eliza and Lillian are successful with their gold kryptonite experiments sometime soon, then everything kicks off with Reign, and everything kicking off with Leviathan just after that. Right now though, Kara and Lena are just focusing on buying Morgan some really nice birthday presents, and while they don't want to be gone all day, they also don't want to rush this, and then not do a proper job at buying Morgan good birthday presents.
After walking in the mall for a few minutes, holding hands, Kara and Lena soon head into their first store, which is just a normal kids toy store, with a bunch of different toys, including many, many, different types of soft cuddly toys. Kara and Lena know this is the perfect store to look for several things for Morgan, so they begin to browse.
As the duo browse, they continue to hold each other's hands, and just think about how nice this is, to be out and about like this. Kara and Lena know that they really don't do this enough. They spend a lot of time together, but not much time just the two of them, out in public, and it is certainly very rare for them to do any public displays of intimacy, like they are showing right now, as they hold hands. Today though, Lena is wearing a big pair of sunglasses, and has her hair tied up in a tight ponytail, so she hopes this just makes them a bit more hidden from any potential photographers. This isn't because Lena or Kara are ashamed to be seen together while showing public displays of affection. This is just because Lena and Kara don't want to deal with the headache of their photos being taken, and then reading a bunch of bullshit articles about what they were doing over the next few days, with it eventually spinning out of control and usually resulting in some fake bullshit.
"What do you think about this toy, Lee?" Kara asks, as she points to a cute looking stuffed toy, which seems to be a dressed up bear of some sort.
"Yes. That looks nice. We can probably get her a few different ones. After all, we are trying to spoil her a little bit." Lena says.
"Yeah, okay." Kara nods.
Lena and Kara now continue to have a look around the toy store and end up buying a few different things for Morgan's birthday, including a few different toys, some coloring pencils and a few coloring books, and a few different kids games that Kara and Lena thought Morgan may like to play. This therefore means that Kara and Lena already have got Morgan quite a few gifts, so feel pretty positive about how productive their day has been thus far.
"I'll carry them." Kara says, taking the bag Lena is holding in her hand, with Kara now carrying both bags.
"You are such a gentlewoman, aren't you Kara?" Lena says, with a smirk.
