Chris and Carla were in Philadelphia for NXT that was tomorrow. They both had matches on the same show for the first time since Chris debuted on NXT. Roxanne in a ten woman tag team match and Jerome in a traditional tag team match where he is teaming with Trick Williams against Ridge Holland and Ethan. And of course with the special guest referee, Bubba Rey Dudley.
This was a cool match for Chris, Bubba Rey Dudley was one of Chris' heroes back then he always watched videos of his matches while part of the Dudley Boys. While Bubbas style wasn't his style he still incorporated the intensity that Bubba wrestled with. Intensity that has driven Chris through his wrestling career.
But that was tomorrow and today was a special day.
It was November 5th the love of his life's birthday. Her twenty third to be exact. Chris wanted it to be special since it was the first birthday of any of them that they have celebrated since getting together.
So Chris was currently at a jewelry store looking for something to get her. Carla was currently at the gym getting a workout in. Chris though was still asleep when she left and had another sticky note on his forehead that told him where she went. Chris not having a gift for Carla yet decided that this would be the perfect time to get one
"Can I help you?" A woman asks Chris making him jump a little.
"Uh yeah my girlfriends birthday is today and I was thinking about getting her something. This is the first birthday we are celebrating since being together and I want to make it special." Chris says.
The woman smiles.
"That is so sweet of you. What is her name?" She asks.
"Carla." Chris says.
"What is she like?" The woman asks.
"She's beautiful, nice, and funny. She's literally perfection in a girl, I never thought that there was perfection in a girl until I met her back in first grade. I would be here all day talking about her." Chris says chuckling.
The woman smiles before looking in thing that was carrying many pieces of jewelry ranging from necklaces and rings.
"What were you thinking?" The woman asks.
"Well both of our names start with C's so maybe a necklace with two C's so we are always linked together even when we are apart you know?" Chris describes.
"I understand what you are saying let me take a look at what we have." She says looking through the jewelry.
Chris watches her before she smiles before unlocking the cabinet in the desk before grabbing a necklace that had two C's on it that were connected. It was silver Carla's favorite jewelry color. It was perfect.
"Here take a look." The woman says handing him it.
Chris examines the necklace before smiling.
"I love it, I'm going to get it thank you." Chris says handing it back to her.
"Of course let me get the case and then you can pay for it and be on your way." She says.
Chris nods before following her to the cash register. He watches her grab a case from the desk under hear before placing the necklace inside closing it.
"Thank you for coming and I hope that she likes it." The woman says.
"So do I thank you." Chris says before walking out of the jewelry store.
Chris opens the case examining the necklace before smiling and stuffing it in his pocket before walking out of the mall and getting into their rental car.
