Chris was currently on the way to Denver as he was attending the NXT No Mercy PLE. For one main reason to see Carla after a month to long apart. So saying that he was excited was a understatement. To the point where he had to slow down on the high way so he didn't get pulled over.
But as if on que he looks down at his phone and sees Carla's contact pop up.
Chris smiles and quickly reaches down to grab his phone before answering and putting it up to his ear.
"Hey Car what's up?" Chris asks.
"Oh nothing much I'm on the way to the arena. What are you up to?" Carla asks.
"'I'm also on the road." Chris says.
"Hmm care to tell me where you are going?" Carla asks.
"I'm on the way to speak to my boss." Chris says.
He hated lying to her but this was a needed lie. He wanted to suprise her and he wouldn't be able to do that if he just straight up told her what his plans were.
"Oh is everything okay?" Carla asks concerned laced in her sweet voice.
"Yeah we are just discussing all the future people that I will he talking too." Chris says.
"Exciting are you gonna have a break anytime soon?" Carla asks.
"I'm not sure but I'll make sure that you are the first one to hear about it so we can make plans like hang out and other things of course." Chris says.
"What other things are you referring to?" Carla asks with a smile.
"Oh you know what "things" I'm referring to." Chris says.
"Oh I was thinking having a tea party not that." Carla says giggling.
"Sure you were." Chris says.
Chris hears someone talk in the background of Carla's side.
"Okay thank you." Carla says.
"Everything good?" Chris says.
"Yeah I just got to the arena so I have to go unfortunately. Make sure you tell me what happens in your meeting." Carla says.
"You'll be the first one to hear about it I promise. I love you." Chris says
"I love you too." Carla says.
Carla kisses the phone before hanging up.
Chris sighs before setting his phone down shifting his full attention to the highway being just a hour away from Denver.

Chris parks in the parking lot outside of the arena that NXT No Mercy was being held. He made sure to get into the building unseen just in case if any on lookers saw him. He was afraid that word would get around to Carla therefore spoiling his suprise for her.
The only two people that know he is going to be there is Tiana who is also known as Jaida Parker who he ran into at the hotel he was staying at. And his dad of course he was going to go see him first and just hang out in his office for the whole show probably or up until after Carla's match. He made sure to arrive early so that it wasn't as crowded the only people present being the people setting up the event and his father.
