David sits alone in the music room strumming his guitar trying to come up with a new song to write.
"Hm... hmm, today I woke up, saw that it was a good day." He pauses and writes that down then continues, "Everything will be okay, and it's a brand newww da-a-ayyy." He smiles.
"I'm alive and you're alive and the sun is shini-ing, it's a brand-new day." He paused again and wrote that down too.
"And I'm alive today. Every day is a blessing!" David bobs his head as he joyful plays and sings.
He stands up, "Yeah, yeah, yeah." He starts rapping, "You see me walking down the street, happy as I can be. And I just want to thank Jesus for saving me!" David breaks out in a jam session.
"I'm alive and you're alive and the sun is shini-ing, it's a brand-new day! If you wanna be free, all you gotta do is just BELIEVE. My savior you're my best friend and I'll follow you forever. Your ways are the best ways, and you are the reason why I'm... alive!"
David was out of breath panting and he jumped when he heard, "Woooo!" He turns around and chuckled.
"Yeah! Encore! Wooo." A short ginger girl cheered while clapping her hands.
"Daisy, how are you doing?" He asked the young teen.
"I'm good." She shrugged walking in the room, "What's the song about?"
David leaned his guitar on the piano and grabs his song book, "I was sitting here trying to come up with a new song." He laughed, "The lyrics just came to me. This morning, I woke up feeling so happy. The sun was shining through my bedroom window, and I could feel the Lord's presence."
The fourteen-year-old girl nodded and sat on the piano stool.
David sits beside her and picks the guitar back up to tune it, "How is the acting thing going?" David has known Daisy for a few years, she sometimes comes by the senior music room and listen to the musicians.
Daisy joined the company when she was eleven years old, and the older boy was fifteen.
"Pretty well, we're in the middle of working on a play and guess what- I got the part of the main character's best friend!" She squealed, David smiles, "That's exciting news! Isn't this your first real role?"
She nods, he was so proud of her because he knows how hard she has worked.
'Daisy is like a little sister to me,' David says with a smile.
