Zade's eyes scanned the documents, his expression intense.
"What did you find?" I asked.
"Victor's empire was bigger than we thought," Zade replied.
"Money laundering, human trafficking...the list goes on."
Axel whistled. "This guy was a monster."
"But there's more," Zade said, his voice low.
"A name kept popping up. 'The Architect'."
"Who's that?" I asked.
Zade's eyes locked onto mine.
"I think it's the one who controlled Victor."
Axel's eyes widened. "The puppet master."
Zade nodded. "We need to find out who this is."
Thompson arrived, her expression grim.
"We've got a lead," she said.
"A former Victor associate is willing to talk."
We met the informant in a secure location.
He revealed shocking information:
"Victor was just a pawn. The Architect pulled the strings."
"Who is it?" Zade demanded.
The informant hesitated.
"I don't know. But I have proof."
He handed over a cryptic message:
"Echo-1. Project Nightshade."
Zade's eyes narrowed.
"This is just the beginning."
Axel grinned.
"Time to take down The Architect."
