The Deal

Chapter 1

It was a chilly morning as it crept to 6am. Hun's alarm went off randomly and she slid her arm out of the heavy covers and into the cold brisk air in her room to turn it off. She quickly slid back under the covers till she realized today was the day her mom would call about their deal.
Ter awoke with a chill down his body. Opening his eyes, he turns to his clock and sees that it is only 6am. He reaches over for his glasses to make sure he isn't just seeing things. "Why am I up so early?" he thought. He pushes over the blankets and gets up out of bed. As he opens the curtains of his window, he noticed a thin layer of ice over the window. "Let me call Hun and ask her if she saw this.... Oh wait, would she even be up? It's 6am."
Hun jumped out of the covers and slips off her pj dress and puts on her sweatpants and her ex boyfriend's sweatshirt. She walks to the kitchen and starts to cook breakfast even though she won't eat it until 3 hours later. While she's cooking she hears footsteps above her which would mean Ter is awake.
Ter starts walking over to the thermostat to turn up the temperature. As he walks, he feels more and more a pain in his leg. He quickly sits down in the living room couch before he injures himself more. He calls Hun asking her to come up to his room for comfort. Sadly, she was busy setting up for her big day. Ter understood and turned on the TV as he thought of what he could do.
Hun decided that her deal with her mom could wait and finished making breakfast, put it in To-Go containers, grabbed some drinks, and put on her mascara; she slid her hair into a bun put on her flip flops and trudged up to Ter's apartment. She took the key from under his door frame without question and came in with breakfast in her hands for both of them.
Ter looked up and questioned her. "Don't you have something planned today? Haha" she shrugged "Friends before plans." Ter smiled. She sat down on the couch next to him and looked at his leg. "What happened?" She asked. "I don't know. I started walking and I got this shooting pain in my leg." He replied. Hun looked puzzled. "Should I call a doctor?" Ter shook his head, "We will see after breakfast. I'm starving" Hun laughed and they began eating.
Hun finished quickly and threw out her trash, Ter tried to get up but quickly sat down as the pain began again. "Sit down, you ass" Hun said as she threw a pillow at his face. Her cell phone rang with her mom's name on it. Her face went pale and she became nervous. She asked Ter to use his bedroom to talk. He was still laughing at being hit with the pillow but nodded yes. Hun answered and quickly ran to his room.
"Hey mom"
"Hello Hun, today is the one year we talked about"
"I know, I know mom!"
"Well who is he and is he coming?"
"Yes mom I made a deal with you, of course he's coming and his name-"
As Ter walked in the room...
"Uhh... Sorry to interrupt. I needed my phone. Are you ok?" He asked. She looked at him and shook her head. "After you are done with your call, come talk to me. I will try to help," said Ter. Hun smiled and Ter left the room. He limped over to the couch and sat back down now with his phone, slowly continuing his breakfast. Then Hun came out of his room and sat down next to him without saying a word. "Are... Are you ok?" worried Ter. She looked up at him and began to speak.
Hun saw the bedroom door close
"Hun who is he?"
"Ter his name is Ter.... Im, yea, ok, bye"
"Okiee bye sweetie"
Dazed and confused she sat on the couch. She heard a muffled sentence in her ear but all she could think was 'what did I just do'
Finally Ter shook her out of her puzzled mind set so she could focus again.
"Oh right, umm yea I think."
"Ok well if you need anything let me know" as Ter hugged Hun and putting pressure on his leg wincing at the pain but not giving a care as he was embraced by Hun.
"Oh I'm sorry. I forgot about your leg," Hun said as she looked down towards his injury. "It's ok. I ignored it." She smiled. Ter looked at her trying to get her attention before he spoke. She looked at him and they locked eyes. "Do you want to talk about what happened? You seen bothered. If you don't want to share with me, I'm ok with that." Ter said. Hun looked around the room feigning to stare at the TV before she answered, "Well... Every year my mom and I make a deal...."
"Yeah what's the deal?" Ter asked a little more intrigued. "Well my mom has been badgering me to get in a relationship or be engaged or just something a rather. She never leaves me alone about it. So I finally had my bf who is now an ex and I already told her I was bringing him but she didn't know who.... So when she called I panicked...." Grabbing onto Ters arm with tears starting to form in her eyes.
"And told her it was me??" Ter asked a little concerned at the situation but in his mind as happy as a hamster eating sugar.
"I'm sorry, Ter" said Hun. Ter smiled and replied "It's ok." As they hugged it was as if all the problems of the world disappeared and it was just them. "So let me get this straight haha, your mom tries to get you into a relationship each year?" Hun laughed "Yea. It's kinda stupid when you think about it." Ter shrugged "I agree.... Why did you choose me?" They both looked at eachother and sat in silence for 5 seconds. "Well, you were the first person to come to mind and-" A knocking at the door interrupts her.
Hun locks eyes with him, "you're gonna hate me"
She runs to the door and opens it to see the paramedic. "Yes hi is this the Ter house hold? A young lady named Hun called" Hun whipped her head around to see Ter shake his head. She let the paramedic in. Ter denied the paramedic but the emt already saw his leg and that something was wrong from a mile away.
The paramedic looked up at Ter. "What is it doc?" he asked. "Have you been doing any physical things such as sports?" Hun stood behind him looking worried. "Um, yea, I played a pickup football game with my friends 2 days ago." The doctor shook his head "You didn't wear pads I assume?" Ter saw his problem and said "No" The doctor looked over at Hun and said "No worries young lady, just a pulled muscle. It tried to heal but as he got up to walk around the pain started coming back." Hun gave a sigh of relief as did Ter.
"Thank you so much" Hun said to the paramedic shaking his hand and pushing him out the door. She started to head back to the couch as Ter grabbed her waist and pulled her down to the couch "you're such a pain in my ass!" As he grabbed her face and kissed her forehead then pushed her to the ground lightly.
They both laughed for what seemed to be forever until Ter stood up to help Hun off the floor. He pulled her up and as he did, he showed signs of pain from standing. "What are you doing buttmunch? Sit down." Ter laughed again "Ok ok I will." He checked his phone. "So what you wanna do?" Hun tried to think "Wanna watch a movie?" Ter nodded "But shouldn't we do that later? It's early in the day, we should do something other than stay inside." Hun glared at him "Doctor said you have to rest. So we can't really go anywhere haha." Ter facepalmed "I'm sorry. I forgot already. You know in stupid." Hun kissed him on the cheek "You aren't stupid."
Hun jumped up with excitement! "What?" Ter asked laughing at Huns look on her face. "I got an idea!!!" Hun shouted.
"Yea I think I got that.."
Hun frowned... Then shook off his comment and started to shout again.
"Ok well remember when my cousin broke his leg and had crutches? Well I used them for Halloween last year for sympathy to get more candy... Smart right?" She winked
"Where is this going?" Ter quickly asked with a smirk and rolling of his eyes...
"Well I never got to give them back yet and.. You can use them Cuz he's taller than you and they were small for him." Hun finished with a big grin.
Hun without a word ran down stairs to get the crutches. As she rounded the corner of the stair case she sees her mom knocking on her apartment door.
"Oh hey mom. What are you doing here?"
