The Deal

Chapter 8

     "What?" Ter managed as he rubbed his eyes. "It's 11 o'clock! We have one hour until we have to go!" Hun yelled. "Go where?" Ter asked.... Then it clicked.... "OH SHIT! Where is my bag?!" Ter jumped up and looked around as Hun ran to where his bag was and grabbed it for him. Hun ran back down to her place and they both packed and showered. Hun texted him 'Meet me here when you're done packing.' Ter finished and grabbed all his bags and belongings that he would need on the trip and he waddled down the stairs to her apartment.
     "BUDD! Ter! U left him in ur apartment." Hun yelled.
Ter put his bag down and ran up stairs. Hun put buds crate in the back of the car, And started to drag their bags to the car. Ter came running down with him in his hand, he saw hun struggling. He picked it up easily and put it in the back. Hun began to laugh and took Budd. She put him in his crate, plugged in the address (8 hours away) and hoped into the driver seat. Ter ran over the the driver door and pulled Hun out to put her in the passenger seats
"I'm gonna drive."
"Are you sure?" Hun said.
"Yea." Ter began to drive to quick check, Hun squealed with joy. Ter parks and Hun jumps out of the car. Ter rolls down the window. "Need something?" Ter says waving money in her face. She quickly grabs it and runs inside *20 minutes  later*
Hun comes out with bags of foods & drinks, her frozen mocha latte & an icee/milkshake for Ter.
"Why so much food?" Ter questioned.
"We have an 8 hour drive and we gotta stay up" Hun beamed.
     Hun opened the door and got back in the car. She puts the food on the floor between her feet. "Don't worry Bud, I got you a thing or two also," Hun said. Bud barked in response. Ter said "Do you have the navigation set up?" Hun looked at him and said "I've been there so many times I don't need the GPS." Ter sighed. "Okay. Tell me where to go," he said as he put the car in reverse to back out of the parking spot. They began their ride down to the highway with Hun directing Ter where to go. Once on the highway, Ter asks "where now?" He notices Hun struggling to find an answer. "I forgot the exit we have to take," she said worriedly. "See why GPS is a good thing?" Ter said with a smile. "Oh shush, you goof," she laughed. Hun set up the GPS and they continued their ride. "I got it! Take Exit 38," she exclaimed. "Okay," he said in response, "how long does the GPS say until we get there?" Hun replied,"About 6 hours left." Ter sighed once more. "Well this is going to suck."
     "Noooo ur with me! And I can make things fun!" She gleamed. "Yea ok!"Ter smirked.
Hun pulled in her phone and started blasting Christmas music. She screams at the top of her lungs "ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOUUUUU-U  BABY" as she pointed towards Ter. Ter starts busting out in a hearty laugh. "You're such an idiot" hun does he queen symbol and continues on.

*5 hours later*

They were on a icy road with trees covered in snow. "Are we lost?" Ter asked.
"No no it's an hour down this road, I told u its in the middle of nowhere but it's huge, homie, and magical!" She beamed.
     "Oh it's magical you say?" Ter chuckles
"Yup. Haha. Magical."
"What type of magic?" Ter said with a wink. Hun playfully punches him.
"Get your mind out of the gutter."
"You know me. It's how I am." He smiled. "How much longer?"
"About 45 minutes"
"IMPORTANT QUESTION!"
"What?"
"Do we have any snacks left?" Hun stared at him blankly for 30 seconds.
"Yea...."
"Good. Now an actual serious question."
"If it's something about snacks again, I'm gonna smack you."
"No no. I promise..... Does your dad hate me?" Hun looked in the other direction trying to figure out what to say.
     Hun stayed quiet for the next 3 minutes. "I don't know." Hun said. Ter looked her in the eye. "You don't know?"
"My dad shows no emotion I really don't know... It's like..."  Hun went on trying to explain until they pulled up to the cabin. You heard Ter gasp in awe. Hun hugged him. "Oh btw there are rules when we get in there...."
     "Oh god like what!" Ter said worried.
"You'll see.. Promise me you'll go along with it." Hun grabbed his hand and Ter ran his thumb over her knuckles.
"Okay let's go in!" Hun said as she saw her dad in the door way of the grand doors.
     "Hello Mr.Carr," said Ter shakily as he put out his arm to shake his hand.
"Hello Terrence"
"Hi dad," said Hun as she gave him a hug.
"Hey Hun"
"You two need any help?" asked Mr.Carr.
"We're good. Thank you," Hun replied.
Ter opened the trunk and started gathering their bags. As Ter started bringing in the bigger luggage, Hun grabbed Budd. Mr.Carr looked at Budd strangely.
"When did you get a dog?" he asked.
"Oh? I didn't tell you? Ter bought him for me. Isn't he precious?" she giggled.
"Glad to see Terrence is treating you ok," Mr.Carr said with a smirk.
Hun and Mr.Carr followed Ter in with Budd in hand. Ter and Hun greeted Mrs.Carr with a hug and continued on to drop off their bags in the bedroom. Hun set down Budd's cage and opened it watching him run around the house like a maniac.
"Happy to see that your father is in a good mood today," said Ter.
"Yeah," Hun smiled.
     Ter and Hun were called down to the first level of the cabin to the family room. Mrs.Carr had a bag, a jar, sharpie, and rules.
"What's this?" Ter asked.
