They all cautiously walked down the road, everyone on edge. The woman, Mrs. Hart was clinging onto Ellie but she didn't mind it and accepted it but she was distracted by everything around her. Pietro wasn't with her, she didn't know why but it's not like he was bound to her or couldn't join her. Since she could see Lorna, Alice's mother close by, that meant spirits could come down here as well.

"You didn't think it was real, did ya?" Lilia asked Alice who was staring at everything they passed.

"And you did?"

"You know what this is!?" Ellie flinched and stepped away when Mrs. Hart suddenly shouted, right in her ear. Opting to stand by Alice and Lilia instead.

"This is a kidnapping, and I think it is high time we involve the local authorities." Mrs. Hart shouted, pulling out her phone like she was a Karen.

"Are we gonna ignore the fact that something chased us down here?" Jen asked, waving her hand at Mrs. Hart who was furiously tapping at her device.

"Chased Agatha." Alice corrected. Agatha made a face but ignored Alice's words, though Ellie laughed a little at her annoyed expression.

"Okay, no cell service." They all continued on when Mrs. Hart stated what they thought was obvious. This place was magical, mere mortal devices wouldn't work down here.

"Well, whatever chased Agatha down here, it's our problem now." Lilia grumbled. The boy turned around to face her, a smile on his face.

"Is that because covens share blessings and burdens alike?"

"Someone really needs to call this kid's parents. Both of these kids." Jen said, looking pointedly at Ellie. Ellie waved the woman off, not caring about her opinion.

"I'm 100% positive they're asleep. Unless..." Teen paused, looking up "Is this like perpetual night? Like, as a vibe?"

"Okay." Mrs. Hart said, raising her hand and going to the front of the group "I am a member of the Westview Historical Society. All I would've expected to see down here were remnants of our failed public transit system."

"Helpful interjection, random woman with no obvious magical qualities." Jen snapped at the elderly woman.

"Hey, she has a name!" Ellie went into defense mode "It's Mrs. Hart."

"Sharon." Mrs. Hart- Sharon corrected.

"Well, whoever she is, she has no business on The Road."

"That's what I have been trying to tell you." "Anyone can be a witch with training." Teen and Sharon talked over each other.

"Which puts the rest of us in even more danger!" Jen reminded once again. "And we don't even know what we're up against."

"'Tame your fears.'" Ellie spoke up from the side. Everyone turned to her, but Ellie wasn't looking at them, she was looking ahead of the road.

"We tame our fears and we get what we most desire. That's what the ballad says."

"But in what form?" Jen asked her.
