I feel the wind blowing against my back. Winters coming and I need a place to stay. I'm not in the financial state to own a house, but I can rent an apartment. I just well need to find one... My suitcase isn't helping as-well.

I whip out my phone from my pocket and begin to type. Nearest apartments to me. And bam, I was listed with a bunch of different options. I took a careful look at each one but something was missing for each and everyone. One of the rooms in the 1st apartment has a busted up room, while the other apartments roof was in terrible condition. I just couldn't fine the right one until I came across a certain one.

It was more than perfect, it came furnished too! Only thing was it seemed a little pricey, but I guess I'm getting my moneys worth. I called the number and I talked to what seems the landlord. He's quite nice and says how I can pay the money when I get a chance. Only thing was he mentioned about having to share with someone. Who? Well I don't know but I do know their name is:

Peeta Mellark.

Sounds like a rich snobs name but who am I to judge? I mean, I'm the one who's named after a plant. I begin to call an Uber to drive me to my destination. I wait for a while, clasping my luggage's handle in my hand and waiting for the Uber to arrive anytime soon. So far, everything is going smoothly.

The Uber eventually arrives and drives me to the apartment. Let me say, I myself aren't even sure how this place is considered an apartment. It's a mansion at this rate.

I knock on the door waiting for someone to open. But no one answered. I knock again, again and again but no response. I began to get frustrated and start to dial in the landlord's number. As I'm doing so, someone finally comes from inside and opens the door. It's a tall broad man with blond locks. His sun-kissed skin compliments his bright blue eyes. I could just stare at the forever...

"Uh, hello? Who might you be?" He asked with a raised brow. I'm guessing he wasn't informed about my arrival.

"I'm Katniss. Katniss Everdeen. I'm suppose to be your new roommate." I reply to him.

"Oh yes, pardon me Katniss for my rude behavior. Your room is over there, it's not filled with many things since I used it as a guest room but feel free to do whatever you please." He points over to a door which seems to be my room.

I enter passing through him and rolling my luggage into my new room. Holy, and he said it wasn't decorated? This room had basically everything. All I really have to do is unpack and add my touches here and there. This is definitely worth my money.

I began to quickly unpack, sorting my clothes away and talking my personal stuff to my new bed. That's when I saw the photo of my family... I love my family and will always. Ever since my father died in a car crash driving to work life has never been the same for us. My mother went into a depressing state and wouldn't help take care of us. And if child services saw that she was not able to take care of us, they would take us away. I didn't really care but I saw the actions and work of those care takers.

I promised myself that I would never let my sister Prim who was only 7 at the time deal with such conditions. I was just only 11 and had to deal with a burden of such responsibility. When my mother eventually started to get better, my sister offered her open arms while I refused. How could I? She left me with such tasks and refused to do anything. Sure it might have been a sickness, but we couldn't afford it at that time and she knew. Not with my father dying of course.

I was getting tired, and went to go take a shower. I brushed my teeth and flopped into my bed. I needed to get sleep. I was desperate for even 30 minutes of rest. I end to have nightmares about the past. Me, fighting for food. Struggling to survive. I couldn't... I couldn't let my sister Prim go through what I went through. I want her to grow up with no trauma in her life. She wanted to be a doctor when she's all grown up, and I'm going to do all in my power to make sure that happens.

I feel my eyes drifting to sleep. This night I need to get sleep, I can't last much long on coffee.
