Well today is the day. I start my future education at Quarter Quell University. I've already attended the open house to get a familiar sense with where I need to go. I have a good memory so it's not going to be hard travelling from class to class.

I've met some other people at the open house. There was Finnick, Annie, Tresh and Johanna. Finnick and Annie are dating so it was like a 2 for 1 when I was trying to befriend them. Tresh was just like a lost little puppy trying to find his way around the school. From the look on his face, he knew he was in for trouble if he couldn't even memorize where the washrooms were.

Then there was Johanna. Johanna seemed to be thrilled to be "finally meeting me." Which I don't really know what that actually meant. I mean, I haven't seen her before? So what could she be implying. When I asked her about that she just snickered and said that I'll know soon enough.

I had already backed my bag and was about to head off. Gale said he was going to give me a ride to school, since I didn't own a car at the moment. Before exiting the apartment, Peeta asked me where I was going.

"Katniss, where are you going?"

"I'm going to university!" I answered.

"Wait, are you going to stay there? You will be back right?"

"Yes, don't worry the university isn't far from the apartment, it's just a 10-ish minute drive."

"I can drive you there if you like?"

"No it's okay, Gale said he was going to drive me there." That's when I noticed Peeta's smile drop.

"Oh... I'm sure he won't mind. C'mon before you're late!" He grabbed my arm dragging me to his car. I entered the passenger seat, buckled my belt and took some deep breaths.

I am Katniss Everdeen. I am Katniss Everdeen. I am Katniss Everdeen.

I kept on reciting that in my head. I knew that each class was going to make me introduce myself and I needed to be prepared, making sure that I won't break down in the middle of my introduction.

"We're here! Hope you have an awesome time, when you get home tell me everything that happened!" He was more excited than I was. I was just a nervous wreck.

I exited the car, and the first thing I see is people staring at me. But why? It couldn't be what I was wearing so what? They were whispering and gossiping. If I wasn't nervous before then I sure am right now.

I noticed Gale walking up to me.

"Woah Katniss, didn't know you owned such a car. I wouldn't have thought you needed a ride from me if I knew you owned that." He chuckled and gave me a slight nudge.

"It isn't my car, it's my roommates. Is that why people are staring at me? Because of the act I was driven in."  That sorta relived my heart.

"Yea, don't think about it as much. People will forget it as time goes. Now let's start getting to know people hm?" He dragged me around the yard trying to find new people to meet. I was getting passed like a parasol.

I eventually found some of the friends I did meet before at the open house. I introduced Gale to them and the welcomed him instantly.

Me and Annie had mathematics for first period so we both headed there together.

"Are you nervous Katniss?" She asked me with a delicate expression.

"Mhm, I'm fine. Why are you asking me though? I'm the one who should be really asking." I mentioned.

The first class wasn't so bad, simple introductions and I even managed to get a seat in the back. Since the year just started we don't actually have assigned seats, but I was going to make sure that a seat in the back was marked for me.

"Psst, Katniss! Do you understand anything this guy is saying? I'm so confused right now." She had her hands rubbing against her temples.

"It isn't too hard, I'll give you some advice and help later with this alright? Try and figure out what you do know so far." I mentioned to her before paying attention to the lesson. I knew we are going to get lots of work after.

I am exhausted. The professors left us with so much homework and assignments ti do, I'm not even sure where to begin. Anytime I did feel stressed or anxious I simply just remembered Prim. Seeing her being able to do the job she always wanted. It makes me feel much more energized.

I finished up my last class for the day and Gale drove me back to the apartments. 

"Thanks for the ride Gale, see you later!" I thanked him for the ride back. I didn't abt Peeta to come and pick me up. He has done so much for me.

I entered in and was greeted with such an amazing smell, what could it be?

That's when I saw Peeta in an apron, though the apron did seem a little tight on him. Due to that it had grasped his well shaped chest and really made it obvious. I'm not sure why, but I felt my face get a little hot.

"Hey Katniss! I'm just making some pasta, would you like some after such a hard day?" He asked me jokingly.

"Sure, I would love that."  I appreciate these sweet gestures he does for me.

I went to go put away my bag and books in my room. I changed into something comfy and grabbed my phone.

When I got to the kitchen I was shocked with the way the pasta turned out. Peeta had even made garlic bread!

"Wow Peeta, this is amazing! It all smells so good." I complimented him for his amazing cooking skills.

"Thanks, now cmon let's eat before the food gets cold." He had grabbed two bowls and began to disperse the food.

We both said our prayers and began to eat. After that we both decided to watch a movie together on Netflix.  He had his arm warmed around me, with a nice thick blanket covering us.

I won't lie, being in the embrace of Peeta brings me much peace. I haven't had a nightmare in a while now. Sure I'll get little heart attacks here are there but the second I remember Peeta... It just all goes away.

He saved me.
