"Your son showed kindness in a way no monster had ever known, not in a very long time, and for that, we are grateful. But, there is still the matter of the barrier. As of now, you both have immunity, but a monster may get impatient. Your safety is of importance, humans." King Asgore began. "an' i can't guard ya both. we were thinkin' gettin' ya to a safehouse til another soul falls down." Sans continued with an uncharacteristically serious tone of voice. Papyrus was peeved that Sans kept this from him. You could see it. "I Can Protect My Wife And Child Perfectly Fine, Thank You." You elbowed him in his ribcage. "Papy, play nice. But he does have a point, Sans. With you coming over every day, him being in the Royal Guard, plus Astigma's little stunt has pretty much all of Snowdin's guard on our side." You pointed out to the council. "That may be very much the case, but the Guard has a job to do, as does Sans. Sans knows a safe location where you and your children can be kept safe." Asgore tried but you weren’t having it. "I am staying home, your majesty."

Astigma tried to follow along. Asgore wanted to separate them from his dad, was about the jist he was picking up, and Uncle Sans was for the plan. All he wanted, all he needed was for the barrier to be broken. He didn't mean to get them to this point. All he wanted was for his family to see the stars that only his mom had ever seen. Astigma slipped under the table while his mom argued over their care and past the king who claimed he was keeping them safe. Astigma didn't doubt it, but this wasn't gonna stop unless he did something. The very thing that he came here to do. Flowey was in the next room as Astigma slipped out. "You're really gonna do it? There won't be any going back." Astigma nodded firmly. "Asgore is gonna make us move again. So I have to do it before they realize I'm gone." Astigma looked down at the flower. "Where the hell have you been anyway? You just left me-" Flowey squeaked, flinching away. "I went to lick my wounds..." He replied quietly. He didn't bother to make excuses. "Come on. The Barrier's this way."

Astigma begrudgingly followed him, finding the six human souls to be in the same room. "Ok, what do I do flowey?" Astigma looked down at the cowardly plant with eyes full of determination. He was a little boy, willing to put his life on the line for everyone... someone Flowey admittedly looked up to, but even traveling with him up to Waterfall... he didn't think Astigma could make it. Oh, how wrong he was. "I messed up a lot in my life. I died, trying to protect someone I cared about too, ya know. Look where it got me... I'm just a plant with human determination in my roots. The soul... it's still here, I think... Chara is still... still with me. I abandoned you once, Astigma. Let me make it up to you." Glass shattered, and Astigma yelped as he shielded himself. When he looked again, it wasn't Flowey with him. It was some sort of goat wearing red eyeliner. "Don't tell anyone, ok? Once I break the barrier, I won't be Asriel anymore." He explained. Astigma had heard of Asriel. Asgore had told him about Asriel and what had happened. The goat nudged Astigma behind him. "I know I didn't deserve it... but thanks for being my friend." Astigma couldn't get a word in as the world went white.
