Sans, despite being the furthest guy to a morning person, was at the cabin bright and early with the boys. Papyrus was upstairs, making sure his guard uniform was spotless for meeting with the king. Speaking of, Anton was complaining loudly about how he couldn't come. "I wanna meet the king too! Why does Astigma get to go, but I don't!?"
"that's cause stigy was tryin' to free the monsters. he's in trouble fer it now. ya wanna get in trouble, ton?" The little hybrid shook his head quickly. "No!" Sans smiled and ruffled his hair. "good kid." You regarded Sans with a curious expression as you set down water sausages coated in fried pancake batter for the boys. "Are you ok? Your hands are shaking." You pointed out. Sans was quick to suspiciously shove his hands into his pockets, chuckling nervously. "'m fine, just a bit chilled to the bone this morning. heh." You opened your mouth to interrogate him on his suspicious behavior when Papyrus yelled down, his pun senses apparently tingling. "SANS, YOU BETTER NOT HAVE JUST MADE ANOTHER DAMN PUN OR I WILL STRANGLE YOU!" Sans started to sweat as Papyrus stomped down the stairs. "n-nah, boss!"

After breakfast, you, Papyrus, and Astigma all headed out to New Home. "Astigma. Remember To Stay Close, And Never Call Granny By Her Name If Mentioned. King Asgore Cannot Know Where Granny Is. She Does Not Like Him." Papyrus reminded Astigma as they waited for their ferry to the Capitol. "You know... I kinda missed the uniform. Reminds me of when we first met~" You nuzzled into Papyrus, and Astigma made a dramtisized gagging noise. You rolled your eyes at your son while Papyrus became red-faced and gave you a soft kiss. You hummed into the affection, and Astigma turned to the waters so he didn't have to see his parents do gross adult stuff. Just in time, too, as the Riverperson came into sight. "Oh, would you look at that! Ferry's here!" He proclaimed loud enough to break you both apart. Papyrus helped you onto the ferry before lifting Astigma in, despite his quiet protests that he'd crossed the entire Underground on his own and could certainly get into a boat by himself. "Perhaps You Want To Cross The Entire Underground Back, Then?" Papyrus suggested, and Astigma quickly shook his head and stopped complaining.

You were surprised to see Sans there. As was Papyrus and Astigma. Sans was leaned back in his chair between Asgore and Undyne. A yellow lizard was at Undyne's other side. They must've made up the council. "Sans. What Are You Doing Here? Where Is Anton?" Papyrus asked, confused and weary. Sans seemed all the more nervous, unable to make eye contact with Papyrus. "i'm sorry, i am not allowed to tell anyone..." Sans murmured in a small voice. "Tell anyone what?" You asked in confusion. "He wasn't allowed to tell anyone that he's the Judge." Asgore replied for him. Sans flinched away while Papyrus gave him a hard stare. You and Astigma were simply confused. "Ok... he's a Judge. So what?" You asked in confusion. "Not a Judge, the Judge, human." Undyne crossed her arms, giving you a glare. "The Judge is the monster who looks at the stats of those around him to determine the threat level to the king. Monsters who have LV higher than King Asgore's are killed on sight. Humans, too. But he just stopped one day. Because of you." Sans smiled nervously. "she's my sister in law, not a threat." He warned Undyne. Asgore silenced them both. "Sit down. Let's have a chat."
