Chapter 46 Damien's Broken Heart

Damien has been in a very good mood as of late. "Hey everyone," Damien said. "Good morning," he said.

"Damien sure is in a good mood," Yuka said. "I wonder why that is?' he asked.

"It's because of that girl he is dating," Andra said. "Tyra," she said. "But there is something about her that I don't like to be honest," she said.

"What makes you say that?' Orko asked.

"I don't know just something about her bothers me," Andra said. "It is just a gut feeling you know," she said.

"Well maybe you might be jealous Damien is spending time with her and instead of you his best friend?" Noah asked.

"I am not jealous," Andra said.

"Well I better go I am going to go meet with Tyra," Damien said leaving.

"See you later Damien," Man at arms said.

Damien met with Tyra. "Hello Tyra it's nice to see you again," he said.

"Nice to see you too," Tyra said. "So tell me about these things you work on with Man at arms more," she said.

"Well it is all kinds of inventions and stuff." Damien said. "We work with all kinds of machines and such," he said. "Andra my best friend and I sometimes make our own inventions," he said. "Right now I am working on a new sound stunner," he said.

"Sound stunner?" Tyra said sounding interested.

"What does it do?" Tyra asked.

"It is a sonic device, it can stun things with sound," Damien said.

"Like enemies?" Tyra asked sounding even more interested.

"Maybe it can," Damien said. "But I designed it to stun animals gently without medication so we can tag them and track them better and give a quick medical check up to the animal if needed," he said. "It is meant to help with animal research not battle," he said.

"But it could be useful in battle," Tyra said.

"True," Damien said. "But that is not what I exactly built it for," he said. "I built it for a friend named Jordan who studies animals and wants safer way to do his job without having to put himself or the animals in danger," he said.

"Sounds like a waste of this machine's use," Tyra said.

"What do you mean?" Damien asked.

"I am saying it might handle catching enemies better than dealing with animals," Tyra said.

Damien was wondering what she meant and soon went home and was finishing up his device. He was deep in thought. "Is something on your mind Damien?" Orko asked who was passing by.

"Yes something is on my mind Orko," Damien said. "Do you think this sonic stunner might work better as weapon that a device for helping animals and the people who research them?" he asked.

"I don't know," Orko said. "What makes you ask that?" he asked. "You designed it for the purpose of you friend Jordan's research when he asked for your help," he said looking at the finished device.

"I know," Damien said. "It is something Tyra my girlfriend said." he said. "She told me it might work better as a weapon to stop enemies than for research," he said.

"Why does she want to know?" Orko asked.

"I don't know she is just interested in the work I do in inventing my own things and helping Man at arms make his inventions," Damien said.

"I see," Orko said. This is very odd to say the least. Why would Tyra want to know about what Damien does as Man at arms apprentice? Also why does she think the sonic stunner would be better purposed as a weapon than research device? I have a bad feeling about this. Orko thought.

A couple of days later Damien brought Tyra to his lab. "Pretty neat place wouldn't you say?" Damien asked.

"I say it is," Tyra said. "So is this it?" she asked picking up the sonic stunner.

"Yes it is," Damien said.

"Have you tested it?" Tyra asked.

"Yes and it works too," Damien said.

"That is what I wanted to hear," Tyra said.

"Huh?" Damien said. Then Tyra pointed the sonic stunner at Damien who dodged when she fired and the blast hit Teela who fell to the ground stunned for the sound. "What are you doing?" he asked.

"I got something after pretending to be with you that is worth something," Tyra said. "Skeletor will most definitely pleased," she said.

"Skeletor?" Damien asked.

"Yes well I best be out of here," Tyra said rushing out pushing Damien aside.

Damien helped Teela up who was coming out of it. "Why did she do that?" Teela asked.

"Tyra was pretending to date me to find an invention of mine that could be of use to her and she works for Skeletor," Damien said.

"What?" Teela said. "Guards on alert stop Tyra she works for Skeletor, she is carrying the sonic stunner watch out and stop her." she said into her communicator.

The others gave chase of Tyra. She was managing to stop them with the stunner at each and every turn. Damien was rushing to stop her. Orko was with him as they gave chase as was Andra.

They saw her about to head out. Orko managed to flashed them in front of her. "You are not getting away," Andra said.

"Try and stop me and you will get stunned," Tyra said.

"Tyra I have to stop you," Damien said and the used his wrist blaster to blast the sonic stunner out of Tyra's hand destroying it.

"Damien now, this was all big misunderstanding," Tyra said. "I truly do care," she said.

"You lied to me Tyra, you hurt my friends, and you betrayed me," Damien said. "I won't fall for the same trick twice," he said.

Then the guards grabbed Tyra and locked her in cuffs. "You will go away for a long time," a guard told her.

Then Damien went to his room. He was wrapped up in his blanket sitting on his bed. Orko came in the room. "Hey," Orko said.

"Hey Orko," Damien said. "I was a fool for trusting and loving Tyra," he said.

"It's okay," Orko said. "It's not your fault, she tricked you," he said.

"It hurts so much what she did," Damien said.

"Yes she broke your heart and betrayed you and it is not a good combination to feel at all," Orko said. "But just so you know we are all here for you, and will help you through this," he said.

"Thanks Orko," Damien said.
