Chapter 8 Damien's Hair Dilemma

Damien was busy working on a new invention of his. "Okay this goes there and this goes there," Damien said. "This glue trap maker should be just about finished." he said.

Andra came into the room. "Hey Damien have you seen Orko?" Andra asked.

"No why do you need him?" Damien asked.

"I need one of potions used for coloring things to color something I made," Andra said.

"Well I think you should check his magic room, maybe he's there," Damien said. Then all of the sudden the machine began to glow and smoke. "Uh oh! Not again hit the dirt!" he shouted.

Damien and Andra hit the ground. Then the machine exploded. Andra was alright but Damien was cover in glue especially his hair. "My hair!" Damien said. "it is full of glue," he said putting his hand to his hair pulling it away. "I need to fix this," he said.

"Well just use shampoo," Andra said matter of factly.

"This glue I came up with will need a very strong soap to get it out," Damien said. "So ordinary shampoo won't be able to get it out," he said. "so now I have see if Orko has a magic soap potion I can use," he said.

Damien and Andra went to Orko's magic room. Orko saw them come in while he was in there. "You two know I don't like it when you come in here unannounced," Orko said. "So why are you here?" he asked.

"I need a coloring dye potion in a shade of scarlet for a scarf I just knitted," Andra said. "The only yarn available was white and I wanted my scarf to be red," she said. "So that is what I need help with." She said.

"I need some strong soap potion to get this very tough glue I came up with for my glue trap machine, out of my hair," Damien said. "Because ordinary soap won't work," he said.

"I see," Orko said. "Luckily for both of you, I can take care of that really quick," he said. He went right to work mixing up the potions. Then the potions were made. "Okay Andra for you, you need dye this is Color me Scarlet potion, it will turn the scarf a brilliant scarlet." he said. "But only one drop will due in a bucket of water," he said. "Then soak the scarf in it and then it is will be lovely shade of scarlet." he told her.

"Thanks Orko," Andra said. "This will be snap," she said.

"Now for you, Damien just shampoo will help your problem," Orko said. "This is super suds and bubbles shampoo, it will clean up any mess that gets in the hair," he said. "Including very strong and tough glue." he said. "Many Trollans, use this shampoo to clean the messiest of hair," he said. "But I know the fact how crazy things happen to hair sometimes, and how sometimes hair gets ruined and how many Trollans go crazy trying to mend their hair or fix something else wrong with it," he said.

"As much as I love a good hair raising tale, I have other things to worry about," Damien said. "I have to go back to the drawing board on my invention, and I have a date tonight," he said.

"Okay let's go," Andra said and accidentally bumped the table. Damien grabbed the falling potions and handed one to Andra. "Sorry," she said.

"Thanks again Orko." Damien said. Then both him and Andra left Orko's magic room. Andra got ready to color her scarf and Damien got in the shower. Damien took the potion and used a small bit of it and washed his hair. Then after washing his hair he came out of the shower and dried off. He got dressed and then he looked in the mirror and screamed. "My hair!" Damien said.

"Damien what is wrong?" Adam asked. "Your hair it's bright red," he said.

"I know," Damien said.

Man at arms saw Damien's hair. "Damien what happened?" Man at arms asked.
