Chapter 47 Look into the past

Damien was hurting an awful lot after Tyra his girlfriend revealed she was working for Skeletor. She broke his heart and betrayed him. Which was a bad combination. Because of what happened, Damien was also angry and lashing out. Mostly at the girls he was lashing out at.

"Andra watch where you are going!" Damien snapped. "You women are all alike!" He said.

"I am not like Tyra! You known me since we were five!" Andra said.

"I am nothing like Tyra, and neither is Dree Elle," Teela said.

"My mother and Adora aren't like Tyra either," Adam said.

Then Damien stormed out and Orko watched. "I know how he feels," Orko said. "I have been betrayed and had my heart broken at the same time by a girl," Orko said. "So I know what he's going through," he said. "I will go talk to him." He said.

Then Orko found Damien in the garden sitting under a tree crying. "Hey Damien," Orko said. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"I came out here to be alone," Damien said.

"Listen it is very hard to have your heart broken and what makes it even harder is when betrayal is added to it," Orko said.

"I bet you would know wouldn't you?" Damien snapped.

"Yes I would," Orko said. "I also know that feeling anything even if it is pain is better than feeling nothing at all. I also know keeping yourself from feeling love won't help you or anyone else," he said. "My father told me those things after my Arkia an unnamed order agent who pretended to date me to find my weaknesses." He said. "After that I felt the same way you do now," he said.

"You did?" Damien asked. "Before you found out that she was an unnamed order agent what did she act and what did you think of her?" He asked.

"She acted nice, and acted like she really liked me and cared about me. She also pretended to be understanding of my previous broken hearts," Orko said. "After almost the whole summer together after getting my mage emblem I thought maybe I found a girl friend who would stick," he said. "But then she revealed herself as unnamed order agent and said nasty things and broke my heart, I got rid of the monster the unnamed order sent and she escaped." He said. "For a long time I pushed the chance to be loved by a woman away," he said.

"How did you get past it?" Damien asked.

"It all started to change when I went to Etheryia," Orko said.

"To Etheryia?" Damien asked.

"Yes it was when He man and I teamed up with She Ra to help Adam, Adora and other people the horde was keeping prisoner and controlling for their purposes," Orko said. "I was tasked with freeing the prisoners." He said. "I was doing well and I remembered how I heard a Trollan song mage song spell earlier and I went to find this Trollan and I found her." He said.

Flashback.

Orko saw Dree Elle in a tube like cell singing to be rescued. Orko talked to her and freed her. Then they escaped with She Ra and He man. They all made it out and to Whispering woods.

Flashback ends.

"I remember that is how you and Dree Elle met," Damien said.

"Yes," Orko said. "Dree Elle and I got to know each other for a few months," he said. "She got to know my secrets and I got to know hers." He said. "We both became close and developed feelings for each other," he said. "Then after I started training with the ringbearers I realized how much I loved her. Then when the time was right I told her my feelings." He said. "As you remember we dated for a year and I proposed and we got married and our wedding was anything but smooth from what you remember," he said. "Now we are trying to start our own family," he said.

"Yes I know," Damien said.

"You see Damien after all those times I got my heart broken and decided to keep giving love a chance though highly cautious about it, I never would've met Dree Elle," Orko said.

"So in other words it may take several broken hearts or just one or two or a few before you find the one," he said. "So never stop giving love a chance," he said.

"I won't stop giving love a chance," Damien said.

"Now don't you think you were a little mean to the girls?" Orko asked.

"I think I should apologize to them," Damien said. He went back inside and saw the girls. "Girls I am sorry for what I said," he said. "I know being hurt from what Tyra is no excuse for saying that," he said. "I know you girls aren't like that and should've have found a better way to express my feelings about the matter," he said. "Are we still friends?" He asked.

The girls looked at each other and smiled. "Of course we are," Andra said.

"We know you only said it because you were angry and hurt," Teela said. "So we forgive you," she said.

"After all we know you have been having a hard time," Dree Elle said. "So we know that when someone is having a hard time sometimes they have words and they might hurt," she said. "Plus adding teenage hormones to the mix tends to make things bigger." she said.

"Thanks girls I will try to be better with my words," Damien said. "It just at times hard not to have them." He said. "Especially when you are a teenager," he stated.

Then all friends laughed at that.

"Hi in today's story you read how Damien was angry and had words." Teela said. "It made his friends get upset with him." She said. "But having words when in a bad mood is normal and can happen to anyone," she said. "It is part of growing up," she said. "But you should remember to keep in mind that words still hurt and you can still try to make things right when you hurt someone with them," she said. "Until next time," she said.
