Communication 16: A plan of words 💬

Narrator's POV:

Today seemed like it was going to be a regular day on Itan Private High School. We can see Henry entering the class calmly, sitting right between Komi and Tadano.

Henry: "Good morning guys. You guys are early today." He said with a smile.

Tadano and Komi seemed nervous, they were shaking.

Henry: 'Already?' "Uh... what's the matter?" 

Just then, Tadano had given Henry a letter. He thought it was a threat letter from Yamai, so he got angry before even opening. However...

Henry: *upset* 'Just what did Yamai wrote you, my boy, so that you're acting like this-?'

The futon flew off.

Hitohito Tadano

Henry: "(...) I-it's a coded message?" Henry was confused. That excuse of a pun was what they wanted to show him...

Komi: "The other day we heard on TV that joking is important for communicating, so we wanted to write a joke that I heard reciently."

Henry: 'Reciently!?' "Well, lemme tell you something: there are puns, or jokes, that are more fitting to tell them depending on the situation."

Komi seemed to understand what Henry said and did attempt number two by herself.

The umbrella piled up.

Shouko Komi.

Henry: 'Ah... 'cause it rained yesterday...' Henry was cringing beyond belief, but didn't want to sadden his partners...

Henry: *holding it in* "I-I didn't say it wasn't funny! But some jokes can only be understood depending on how they're told."

After that, Komi and Tadano kept eye contact with Henry and left the classroom. Shortly after, Henry's cellphone started ringing. They told Henry a third pun through it.

Komi: "Wh-why do... plants... ha-have problems in... m-math classes?"

Tadano: "C-cause... they h-have... squared roots..."

Henry: 'Ok, that one was quite funny, but save the dad jokes for when you're married!'

Komi and Tadano were back.

Tadano: "How was it?"

Henry: "Well, that one was funny actually-."

Najimi had just entered the class, waving their friends.

Najimi: "Morning! *groan* I don't like this season... By the way... I found this letter in my shoebox..."

Henry: 'Another victim!'

The situation was explained to Najimi, who thought it was some kind of death threat. That comment surprised Komi and Tadano.

Najimi: "Hey, Henry, show them how it's done!"

Henry: "WHAT!? WHY ME!?"

Najimi had tricked Henry once again, because thanks to them, Komi and Tadano were excited to see what he's got to offer.

Henry: 'Son of a...' "Uhm... W-which s Thanos' favorite app? Snapchat..."

Najimi was speechless. But Komi and Tadano wanted Henry to try again.

Henry: "Ok, ok... uh... Oh! Who's Bruce Lee's vegetarian brother? Broco Lee (Broccoli)."

Najimi, Komi and Tadano were doing their hardest to not laugh, since they thought those were good ones. Henry on the other hand...
