☼☽The smell of books was always a pleasant feeling for Aurora. It wasn't about the smell itself, but about the feeling of comfort and safety for the soul. Some aspects of life are simply too close to us than others. It makes us think that these things are ours. Everyone has their own comfort zone, no matter how diverse and different from others.
Aurora adored the smell of books, early mornings, candles, animals, long train journeys, walking on the sand at the beach, jazz music and dramatic literature. These were simply her things. She was made up of them and was proud of it. Aurora would give anything for Hogwarts to be made up of her favorite aspects of life. Although she valued learning and the possibility of learning useful things, like any person she believed that school had its pros and cons. She wasn't a perfect student, but she stood out in some areas.
The girl, as a proud Hufflepuff, was excellent at Herbology. Carmen was practically the best in her year in this subject. The professor always praised her and was glad that one of the students was still able to appreciate his subject. Not having to study too much, because Herbology classes came to her easily, she had no problem helping her friends with this subject.
Sylvanna did not have as much desire and enthusiasm for Herbology as Aurora, so Carmen, as a good friend, often had to do homework with her, or work with her in pairs during classes so that Abbott would somehow pass.
She sat with the blonde in the library and started to explain to her the last topic they had in class. They took Henry with them, because due to the attack on Ophelia, they tried to stick together at every possible opportunity.
"I don't understand why we still need Herbology in the sixth year. It makes no sense," Sylvanna concluded, when she still did not understand anything of Aurora's words, when she explained her previous classes for the third time.
