The One Where You Surprise Her On Stage.

Gracie's POV

It was an hour before my show started, I was in the dressing room getting ready and talking with Y/n who was at home. 

Gracie-"I just wish you were here baby"

I said while grabbing the dress I wanted and going into the bathroom to change into it.

Y/n-"I know me too Honey, I'll be there next week though!"

I sighed.

Y/n-"what's wrong baby girl?"

Gracie-"I just hate that  I can't run to you or cuddle you after these next few shows."

Y/n-"I know, I'll be there before you know it Gracie. Look, I gotta go to a work meeting okay? I love you and you'll do great out there."

I smiled a little.

Gracie-"I love you more. Call if you need me okay?"

Y/n-"I will."

Y/n' POV

I was sitting backstage. Instead of ending it with 'Close To You'  I'm gonna surprise her by coming on stage while singing 'Everywhere Everything'. I asked Noah, and said it was fine so that was the only real approval we needed to continue this. 

Gracie-"I've been waiting 7 years to play this with so, with that.. I give you 'Close To You'.

But then her mic cut out.

Gracie-"ha- hang on guys." 

The cheering got louder as they saw me, peeking around the corner of the stage.

Y/n-"It's been a long year,"

I started as I stepped on the stage and Gracie turned to me with a smiling face.

Gracie-"Would we survive in a horror movie?"

She sang as she looked back in the crowd, then shortly turned to face me again. I walked up to her and held her hand, as I looked into eyes singing the next verse.

Y/n-"I doubt it, we're too slow moving."

A single tear dropped from her cheek as I moved my thumb up to wipe it away.

Gracie-"We trust everyone we meet"

Y/n-"Two bodies are riddled with scars from our pre-teens"

It was now my turn to shed a few tears as I held her chin with my hand. God we were feeding the editors right now, I thought to myself as I smiled wider.

Gracie-"Intertwine in a car's dirty back seat"

Y/n-" as we stare at a drive-in screen"

Gracie-" We didn't know that the sun was collapsing,  till the seas rose" 

Y/n-"and the building can crashing.
We cried"

Gracie-"("oh, oh-oh,)

Y/n-"("oh, oh-oh, oh")

Gracie-"Everywhere, Everything, I wanna love you"

Y/n-"Till we're food for the worms to eat"

Gracie-"Till our fingers decompose, Keep my hand in yours"

She straightened her arm out and I held her hand looking down. She slowly intertwined our fingers and we both leaned closer.

She took the mic and stood next to me facing the crowd with a huge smile on her face. People waving and jumping. Some held signs that said "we love you!" OR "I love you Gracie Abr(ah)ams" I laughed at that one.

Gracie-"Mm-mm, Drive slowly, I know every route in this county. And Maybe that aint such a bad thing. I'll tell you where not to speed,  and it's been a long year, and all our book's pages are dog-eared.  We write out the ends on our palms, dear.  Then forget to read, and we couldn't know that the sun was collapsing until the seas rose and the buildings came crashing. We cried "Oh, Oh-oh, oh, Oh-oh, oh"

Both Y/n&Gracie-"Everywhere, everything, wanna love you, till we're food for the worms to eat. Till our fingers decompose, keep my hand in yours-

I Held her hand for the rest of the song.

Gracie-"everywhere, everything, I wanna love you till we're food for the worms to eat, Till our fingers decompose, Keep my hand in yours. Mm-hm

Y/n-"oh (oh, oh-oh)"

Gracie-"ah ah."

We were catching things the fan threw at us as the song went on. And the I made my way back to Gracie

Y/n-"everywhere, everything I wanna love you."

Gracie-"Till we're food for the worms to eat"

Y/n-"Till our fingers decompose"

Gracie-"I'll keep my hand in yours"

As the song ended, Gracie moved her guitar to her back, and softly cupped my face and leaned in for a kiss. I grabbed her waist and pulled her in.

Gracie's POV

As I was kissing her I broke free and leaned my forehead on her forehead.

Gracie-"I love you Y/n"

Y/n-"I love you too Gracie Angel"
