YOU

I wasn't there to see you smiling today,
Neither will I be tomorrow or ever again.
I'll sit back gazing at the moon far away,
Imagining you happy without me, going insane.

I once used to be your "dear diary" type of someone,
Now I hardly get to hear anything about you.
Yet I run around asking about you from everyone,
To learn the things I should have known months ago from you.

None of us changed, neither did you nor did I,
We'll grow up the same with the same nature for life.
You simply abandoned me over someone new at that time,
And silly me kept wondering that my love for you couldn't thrive.

You couldn't see me begging even when I got on my knees,
Tearing off my demeanour to show you how much I was real.
You blindfolded yourself to all my tears and my please,
And you kicked off my love as if it was surreal.
