Thunder walked up to Kris and Chen the day before their second concert, noticing the heaviness in their expressions. "What's wrong, my boys?" Thunder asked, concern evident in his voice. Chen looked at Kris, silently asking if he should speak up or if Kris wanted to do it himself. Kris took a deep breath, steeling himself as he made his decision. "Should I tell him, or are you telling him yourself?" Chen asked, giving Kris an opportunity to voice his thoughts. Kris met Chen's gaze, then made a firm gesture for him to take the lead. With a heavy heart, Kris walked forward and sat down next to Thunder. "I'm at my breaking point," Kris began, his voice trembling slightly. "I've made the difficult decision to leave the singing team." Kris looked at Thunder, his eyes filled with a mix of determination and sadness. "You'll still see me on EXO planet and during war. I won't fail my brothers," he said, his voice unwavering despite the tears welling up in his eyes. Thunder placed a comforting hand on Kris's shoulder, his eyes reflecting understanding. "Oh, my boy," Thunder said softly before pulling Kris into a tight hug. "For you, it's the right decision, especially as you've been struggling with Myocarditis," Thunder acknowledged, showing his support for Kris's choice. Kris nodded, trying to compose himself as he wiped away his tears. "I'll go now," he said, standing up. He turned to Chen, his expression filled with regret. "Chen, I again deeply apologize," Kris said, embracing Chen in a heartfelt farewell. With a heavy heart but a sense of resolve, Kris left the room, his footsteps echoing faintly in the empty space. Thunder and Chen stood in silence, knowing that Kris's departure marked the end of an era for their singing team. As Kris walked away, the weight of his decision lifted slightly, knowing that he had chosen the path that was best for him.
