Thunder watched in awe as Chen performed on stage, completely captivated by his son's talent. The audience cheered, but Thunder's focus was solely on Chen, his heart swelling with pride. However, his admiration was short-lived as the stage lights suddenly flickered and plunged the theater into darkness. Panic erupted among the audience, voices shouting in confusion. Thunder, with his heart racing, instinctively made his way towards the backstage area where Chen had last been seen. Pushing open the door, he was met with the sight of Chen sitting on a chair, an ice pack pressed against his ankle. "My son, what happened?" Thunder's voice was laced with concern as he rushed to Chen's side. Kris let out a heavy sigh. "He tripped during the performance, but it's more serious than we initially thought." Thunder's worry deepened as he carefully removed the ice pack, revealing Chen's swollen, discolored ankle. "Oh, my boy, it looks terrible," Thunder murmured, gently cradling Chen's injured ankle in his hands. "Please, don't bear the pain alone," Chen whispered, his face contorted with discomfort. Kris, ever the practical one, suggested they head back to the hospital to ensure that Chen's ankle wasn't broken. Thunder nodded, his mind racing with concern for his son. Tenderly, he lifted Chen onto his back, ready to carry him to the car waiting outside. "Let's get you checked out, son," Thunder said softly, his voice a comforting presence in the midst of chaos. As they drove towards the hospital, Thunder's eyes never left Chen, his worry manifesting in the tight grip he had on the steering wheel.
