that monday he found himself sitting by the window in the furthest corner at the library. he honestly didn't know why he even came here.

he doesn't even know why he lashed out at sunwoo like that. he kept thinking about it after it happened. did he really lash out at him because of the reasons he told? or did he lash out because he was so in love with him that he used that as an excuse and spoke irrationally?

anyway he did still care about sunwoo so he was sitting here staring out the window. it rained the past few days so it looked gloomy and cold outside.

he wanted to go home but decided to wait for five more minutes. he honestly felt that sunwoo wasn't going to show up and that he was wasting his time. after that day the two boys never interacted.

it didn't bother him that much. if he didn't show up he was going to go to the pc-cafe across the street.

he finished the energy he had bought earlier and decided that he wasn't going to wait any longer. he was about to stand up when out of nowhere sunwoo took a seat infront of him.

he quietly took out the books and opened them up. neither one of them spoke up. haknyeon silently watched the boy and took his stationary out.

he had been staring out the window almost the whole time and he never saw sunwoo enter the place. he almost didn't recognize the boy. his head was hung low and he looked kind of droopy.

was he going to ask him what was wrong? no. did he want to ask? yes. yes he very much wanted to.

he has never seen sunwoo like this even on his worst days and he has spent a considerable amount of time to know that he doesn't behave like this.

nevertheless he shrugged it off and continued doing what he was there for.

days went by fast. they continued meeting up at the library. today was no different. haknyeon waited for sunwoo to arrive then they would go over the work and do some revising then haknyeon would leave first when they were done.

however, this time though, sunwoo caught him just as he exited the place. there was still some tension between them but it eased up the last few days. but it was still there.

"w-would you like to g-go to the arcade w-with me?"

haknyeon stood there confused. he looked at the boy to make sure he wasn't joking around with him and sure enough he wasn't.

he looked around to make sure that he was talking to him. he actually looked sincere and it honestly scared him a little bit.

sunwoo watched the older think for a while before taking out his phone and messaging someone. "you don't have to if you don't want to. nevermind pretend like I didn't ask" sunwoo walked away.

he didn't even wait for haknyeon's response. he just wanted to leave there - he couldn't handle the embarrassment.

haknyeon ran after sunwoo and pulled the boy's arm with all his strength making sunwoo turn and almost fall on the road but haknyeon caught him and held him in a manner that was like they were hugging.

they both didn't know what was happening. it happened so fast that they couldn't process it. maybe it's because they were more focused on their hearts racing. maybe it's because they couldn't believe that that just happened.

sunwoo just left like that but when haknyeon looked up to respond he saw the boy crossing the street. but he also noticed that sunwoo didn't see the car that was speeding towards him.

it was like out of instinct he ran up to him and pulled him out the street and back to the sidewalk. his body reacted before he could do anything.

he was still holding onto sunwoo who stood there. when he finally got back to his senses he pulled back to check if the younger was injured. when he observed that the boy was fine he hit his arm with all his might.

"ow!"

"what the fuck is wrong with you?! do you know how dangerous that was, you could of gotten seriously hurt!"

"I didn't do it on purpose!"

"don't do that ever again"

"sorry"

haknyeon ended up - forcefully - walking sunwoo home. haknyeon didn't take no for an answer and sunwoo stopped trying when he saw how stubborn the other was being.

after that stunt haknyeon didn't feel comfortable with the idea of letting him go home by himself. to the point that everytime they had to cross the street he held his hand. and he didn't mind that the younger's place was a bit of a distance from where he lived.

and it was like their hands were made for each other. the way their hands fitted perfectly in each other's was just magical. haknyeon was using every last bit of his strength to try not to blush or atleast visibly show how he felt.

afterall, he still liked and cared about him. and after what happened earlier and the feeling that came with it, it might have just made him appreciate him more.

he almost lost someone that he held dear to him. even if their relationship wasn't that deep, he couldn't imagine how he would of felt if he lost sunwoo.

he couldn't imagine waking up in a world where kim sunwoo doesn't exist.
