eric wanted to turn back but haknyeon calmed him down a little but he was still nervous.

the school held one last festival before it officially closed for the year in honor of the year ending and it was almost christmas season so why not?

Mr Bae had asked eric to sing as one of the acts of the night. why him? he doesn't know. all Mr Bae said was that he had a great voice and he would do well on stage.

he managed to convince him and now he ended up here doing it. he told haknyeon and the boy had been listening to him practice and he honestly didn't know what eric was worried about.

and if he wasn't worried about his performance then it was his song choice. everything about this made him nervous.

"here's the set list," one of his former classmates handed eric a paper. he scanned through it but something seemed wrong.

he read through the paper again.

"JU HAKNYEON!"

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!"

eric stomped towards the said boy who went to help himself at the refreshment table set up for the acts performing today.

"then what the fuck is this?!" he held up the paper for haknyeon to read and he sheepishly smiled at eric and scratched the back of his neck.

he was going to lie but he wasn't about to mess with an angry eric. even the other people that were there were terrified after hearing eric scream like that. they even made way for him to walk when he was walking over to the older.

it was written all over his face.

"okay, I might of done something"

"why would you do that?!"

"you sing that song so well, better than the one you chose! the people need to hear your amazing voice and this song is going to help in that!"

"I sang it one time!"

"and beautifully might I add"

eric was freaking out even more now. he had already prepared his stage only for him to get here to find that haknyeon completely changed everything. and it was way too late now to change it back.

what made him more panicked was the fact that haknyeon set everything up. he had no idea what to expect when he went onto the stage. he just hoped it wasn't anything embarrassing.

he walked away into the hallway to take a breath. he crouched down against a locker and took deep breaths "breath eric, breath!" he grabbed his hair.

he stood up after some time and fixed his hair before he went back backstage.

"eric you're up next!"

eric nervously gulped down some water but haknyeon stopped him "you need to protect your voice" eric huffed at him.

"look you're going to do well. you know the song and I already planned out the stage so you don't have to worry. all you have to do is go to the chair in the center of the stage and sit on it and do your thing"

eric glared at him.

"don't worry, it's nothing embarrassing trust me"

"I don't"

"ouch. that hurt"

"it's you"

"fair enough."

eric was still stressing out. why that song?
