Awake finally

Raph's P.O.V-

She could turn into a mutant at any moment. She could have still had a normal life. I felt even worse than earlier. I took a few steps back, and Donnie placed his hands on my shoulders. "This isn't your fault Raph. Come on. We need to go tell Leo, and sensei what is going on." He gave me a halfhearted smile, and then headed out of the door. Lizzy was across the room from me, staring off into the distance, she looked.... Dead. She didn't move, flinch, speak.... Nothing. I walked up to her and held her arm in my hand. "Hey weirdo," I said trying to cheer her up. She instantly burst into tears, and I didn't know what to do. I put a hand on her back, and let a tear fall myself. "It will be ok." Did I even believe that?

Lily's P.O.V-

I heard voices in what seemed like the rooms next to me. I couldn't see anything. My eyes where still closed. My head started pounding, and I groaned like a zombie. "Gahhh." I sat up slowly holding my head. Something felt off though.

 I slowly opened my eyes, and a wave of green flooded my vision, and my body began stinging horribly. "AHHHH!!!" I clenched my fists on the bed sheets next to me and contracted all of the muscles in my body. My knees where in my chest, and I started to breath heavily. Someone burst through the door beside me, and I didn't turn, mostly because it felt like if I did I would break and fall apart. Something was wrong. "Lily! Are you ok?! Oh my god! You're awake!! Are you ok?!?! What's wrong?!?!" I coughed a bit, still hyperventilating and the person, who turned out to be Raph, came to me and placed a hand on my back. Lizzy came straight through the door next, and walked to the other side of the bed.

Donnie followed. "Watch out!" Donnie came in and pushed Raph away. "Lily, what happened? Can you talk?" He said calmly. "Y-Yea..." I stuttered. "Ok good." He sighed a bit, and then put a hand on my back. "We need to explain some things, and do some test, whenever you're feeling up to it." "I-I can do it." I attempted standing up. I slowly kicked my legs over the side of the bed, and my head started pounding even more. I put my head in my hands, and then shook it off. I stood up, and everyone in the room tried to help me. "It's ok, I hurt my head, I don't have any broken bones.... I think?" I laughed a bit, and then me, and my new entourage made our way to the lab.

Donnie explained everything, and I was really surprised, but that explained the burning and flash of green when I woke up. Raph lifted me onto the table into the lab. Donnie continued to do yet another ultrasound, and Lizzy and Raph never left the room.

Once the test where over Donnie looked over the pictures, with Lizzy, Raph, and I. "That's not good..." Donnie's voice trailed off. "What?" Lizzy asked worriedly. "The orb is gone." He said, and I looked down. "Then why don't I look different?" Donnie looked at me. "It's a new type of mutagen I have never seen before, you could still mutate later on, or, you could already be a mutant, I'm not sure."

I smiled slightly trying to lighten the mood. "It's ok you guys, I'm fine. Look everything will work out I promise, and me being a mutant shouldn't change anything. I will still be your best friend, and I will still be here for you." I pointed to Lizzy, and then Raph. "If I'm ok with it, I know that my friends will be too." I smiled again. Of course being a mutant wasn't on my wish list, but it wouldn't change the fact I have the best friends I could ever ask for, and I know they will accept me. And Donnie may even be able to fix it later on, but making my friends feel better is top priority right now. They looked at me skeptically, and then I laughed a bit. "Look, I'm scared too, but I know everything will work out in the end. I love you guys, and nothing can change that, and as long as that's true, I'm ok."
