The soft glow of the lanterns flickered around them, creating shadows on the signed and stamped papers. Jungkook carefully watched every detail, making sure there were no errors. Mr. Kim was unaware of the full extent of the deal,he smiled humbly, pleased with his role in the agreement.
Jungkook straightened his back, running a hand through his disheveled hair. For the first time all day, he allowed himself a small, satisfied smirk.
The wedding ceremony, the endless rituals, and the uncomfortable attire-all of it had been nothing more than obstacles in his way, and now, those obstacles were behind him.
"Eric, make sure everything is packed and ready," Jungkook muttered, his voice low and calm now. "We're leaving at first light."
Eric was standing nearby and gave a nervous nod, still shaken by the hectic day but relieved that his boss's plan had gone smoothly.
The village was quiet, with the soft sounds of night settling in, but to Jungkook, it already felt like a distant memory which he want to forget quickly.
With the documents secured, he felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him. This was it-the land was his, and soon, he would be back in the city, leaving behind the strange and suffocating world he had been forced to endure.
"And make sure whatever happened here goes with you to your grave," Jungkook warned, his voice cold and sharp. "Keep your mouth sealed, for your own well-being." The tone left no room for doubt-it was both a threat and a clear warning to Eric.
Eric gave a nod and left the hut as he was instructed because the new weds are going to stay there together for the night and Eric is quiet nervous about the whole matter.
Jungkook stood there, watching the bride who sat quietly on the woven mat with his eyes lowered and hands folded in his lap. The soft light of the lanterns gently lit his face, showing his delicate features. His golden-brown hair shimmered faintly, but he stayed still and silent, calm yet shy.
Jungkook was feeling uncomfortable,he ran a hand through his hair, unsure of what to say or do. This wasn't a typical wedding night for him. To him, this marriage was nothing more than a business deal, but now, facing the reality of spending the night with this boy, he felt a strange discomfort.
He let out a sigh and finally spoke, his tone is more indifferent than gentle. "You sleep first I have some works to do... "
The bride glanced up at him briefly, his brown eyes full of quiet understanding,The silence stretched on, making Jungkook feel even more out of place. He wasn't used to this-such a quiet, unspoken interaction.
After a moment, he cleared his throat. "You don't have to worry about anything," he continued, his voice softer but still distant. "We'll figure things out tomorrow."
The bride nodded, his expression is hard to read. he quietly laid out a thin blanket on the floor, getting ready to sleep. Jungkook watched him, unsure what to think of his calmness. he didn't seem scared or nervous, just... silent, as if he had accepted everything without question.
Jungkook felt a twinge of guilt, but he quickly pushed it aside. This was just part of the plan, after all. He sat down on the opposite side of the room, far enough to give him space but close enough to feel the weight of their strange new reality.
As the night grew darker, the soft rustle of fabric and the distant chirping of crickets were the only sounds filling the quiet hut.
The bride remained silent, and so did Jungkook, both lost in their own thoughts. The fragile tension between them lingered, and it was clear that the night would pass in wordless silence.
Just as the first ray of sun hit the ground jungkook is ready to leave. As the villagers were morning bird so there is no problem. Jungkook get ready in his previous clothes. Taehyung is also ready by the villagers, he went to his father and when he returned with his father he was crying.
The villagers packed fresh vegetables and herbs despite jungkook's protest. The villagers also accompanied them throughout the forest to the place where jungkook's car is parked. The villagers were wide-eyed, visibly surprised by the modern vehicle, so out of place in their world.
Taehyung was still quietly crying, clinging to his father, who gently stroked his head in an effort to soothe him. His own sorrow was clear in his voice as he spoke softly to him, "Be a good wife for him, my child... I will always pray for your well-being." There was a deep sadness in his eyes as he prepared to let his son go.
Jungkook was growing increasingly impatient, he glanced sharply at Eric, silently urging him to hurry. Eric nodded nervously then approached Taehyung and his father.
"Um... excuse me," Eric said awkwardly, "we need to leave."
Mr. Kim sighed, kissing Taehyung's forehead one last time before handing him over to Eric, who gently led him toward the car.
Taehyung hesitated, unsure of what to do, his confusion was clear. Sensing his unease, Eric hurried to open the door for him, showing him how to sit in the unfamiliar car.
With some difficulty, he managed to curl up in the seat, pulling his legs close to his chest, making himself as small as possible.
Jungkook was already seated inside, his expression was indifferent, reclining in his seat with the air conditioning turned on full blast. His eyes remained closed, blocking out the world around him, as if ignoring the fact that someone was now beside him-a boy sitting there with wide, frightened eyes, overwhelmed by the strange environment.
Eric is at the driver seat glance at taehyung for the last time before starting the car. Then, with a deep breath, he started the car, and the quiet village faded into the distance as they drove away.
"S-sir... Where should we go... Um... As you know.... " He asked jungkook when he saw jungkook is awake, staring at the sleeping boy beside him with a look of mild irritation.
"Fuck! .... What a headache.... Ugh!.... Just drive to my penthouse.... I will figure things later..... " He groaned shifting in his seat.
"Alright boss.... " Eric replied, focusing on the road as he drove toward the penthouse.
As they reached taehyung's penthouse taehyung is still sleeping. With a eye roll jungkook leaned over and shook his shoulder. "Hey... wake up!" he called, his voice was sharp. "Hey!"
He was Startled. Taehyung jolted awake, his eyes were wide in fear, his face a picture of confusion and panic. Taehyung shrank back, unsure of what was happening or where he was.
" Oi.. Relax.... Relax...... " Jungkook sighed, his tone was softer but still impatient.Though the other person couldn't understand what is his husband saying but soon get normal seeing the familiar person.
After that he quietly followed him out of the car to a big place, too different from where he lived, it's too strange for him.
As they entered the lobby, Taehyung's eyes widened in awe. The marble floors gleamed under the bright lights, and the modern decor felt cold and impersonal.
he stayed close to Jungkook, his steps were tentative, feeling out of place in this strange new world. The modern environment left him overwhelmed.
When they reached the elevator, he hesitated, unsure of the metal doors that slid open in front of him. Eric, noticing his confusion, gently gestured for her to step inside.
he complied, but his eyes stayed wide with wonder as the elevator hummed to life, carrying them upward. His hands instinctively gripped the strap of his simple bag, holding on tightly as the floor numbers ticked by.
Jungkook leaned against the wall of the elevator, eyes half-closed, not paying much attention to the boy beside him. To him, this was just another step in the process, another day to get through. But Taehyung was silently taking in every new detail, his mind racing as he tried to process everything around him.
