Stripes' sudden confession still lingered in her thoughts.

As they navigated, Stripes broke the silence. "Rosepetal, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. It was foolish of me."

Rosepetal's ears perked up, but she didn't meet Stripes' gaze. "No need to apologize, Stripes. We have more pressing matters."

Stripes' tail twitched, betraying his disappointment. "Of course."

As they walked, Rosepetal's thoughts drifted back to Stripes' words. Her heart still fluttered at the memory.

Stripes, sensing her distraction, offered, "Shall we take a break?"

Rosepetal nodded, grateful for the reprieve. As they rested, she stole glances at Stripes, noticing the way the sunlight danced through his ginger fur.

Rosepetal's thoughts continued to swirl, torn between her duty as queen and the fluttering emotions Stripes' confession had awakened.
