Adelaide had shown Aubrey, Sophia and Carl to the rec room she told their parents that she'd watch them although she was younger than two of them. Adelaide wanted to warn the three children about what was going to happen, she knew that's what her older sister would have done but she's not here. Adelaide didn't talk about her older sister or her mother, her dad usually got angry with her if she did so she didn't. The eleven year old saw Aubrey looking at the colouring book.

"You can have one, there are some that are brand new" Adelaide smiled, the blonde girl looked up at her and smiled, Aubrey still hadn't spoken a word but Adelaide wasn't bothered, she guessed the girl was just so overwhelmed. During the whole time all Adelaide could think off was the fact that if she doesn't manage to persuade her father to let them out they would all die in here and it would be her fault, everything is always her fault. The girl always was blamed for something, her sisters death being one thing she was always blamed for, by her dad, never her mom, Adelaide thought her dad liked her sister more than her, and it was true, in Adelaide's mind that was anyway.

The siblings were at the playground, Adelaide wanted ice cream from the cart across the road and her older sister told her to stay on the bench but she didn't make it back she had been hit by a car which killed her on impact... see her fault.

The eleven year old tried to figure out what to tell or if to tell the group about what would happen when the clock hits zero. She couldn't do it now but if she did then what would happen, nobody would sleep, she didn't know what to do.

"Thank you for staying with them Adelaide" the woman who Adelaide was sure named Carol smiled to her. Adelaide looked up from the photo she was attempting to sketch, the picture was of her, her sister and her mom tears, she wasn't the best at drawing, her thing was more writing, she loved making up stories.

"It's okay, it's been nice to have other children around" Adelaide shrugged

"Is that your mom and sister?" Carol asked curiously sitting down beside the girl who looked up.

"Yeah, a little over two years ago. It was my sister 15th birthday and Mom and dad had taken the day off work for the weekend, we had a weekend away in Disneyland. Dad took the picture of us in front of the castle" Adelaide said smiling, she had a sad smile on her face as she remembered the weekend before her life was turned upside down and her sister lost her life.

"Harriet was my best friend" the eleven year old smiled again.

"You look like her" Carol said to the girl who smiled again.

"My mom used to say that, said I was like Harriet's Mini-Me. I used to say we were twins because of how alike we were" Adelaide giggled. She really did miss her sister, she missed her mom too, her mom was everything to her. Carol smiled at the girl before choosing a book to read.
