The sun streaming in through the window woke me the next morning. I blinked open my eyes, and the previous night rushed back to me. Can in my bedroom and sex. Lots of sex. I smile thinking of all the things we did last night. "I know you are awake."

He wrapped an arm around my waist and slid me across the bed. I just laughed as Can pinned me beneath him, dropping his face into my shoulder. "Good morning" I happily mumble as he starts to kiss down my shoulder to my very naked erect nipples. He starts to teasingly kiss my nipples, pinching one.

"Can oh my god, if you keep doing that..."

"We'll stay in bed all day?" he asked hopefully.

"No." I said on a laugh. "We have to get to work."I continue as he pouted.

----***----

Can and I have now spent another month together and it has been better than I ever expected. Can is attractive, easy to talk to, intelligent, and incredibly sweet and patient especially with all my pregnancy emotions and sleep habits. I'm falling for him—he makes it too easy.

Except for today. Today, he insisted I change out of my comfortable old sweatpants into a long dress and some strappy sandals that were anything but comfortable. Today, I was not falling so hard for him. We were heading to the Turkey Indie Film Awards, where Can has been nominated for an award on a short film he acted in before we met. I have never been to an award show and its making me super nervous because I'm about to walk down a red carpet with Can Divit!

What was that breathing exercise Ayhan showed me months ago?!

After calming my racing heart with a few deep breaths, I snuggled into my cozy spot, prepping to lose myself in a mindless reality TV show. Just as I was settling in, a knock echoed through the room. Groaning, I reluctantly stand up to answer it. I was so comfortable and could have used a few more minutes to lie down before getting ready.

Knock, knock

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" I called out as I opened the door. Standing there was a petite young woman with stunning silver hair and a tall Asian woman who looked like a model. Several pieces of luggage cluttered the hallway behind them. They must be new neighbors and they must be lost.

"Hi, may I help you?" I asked trying to gauge their intentions.

"Are you Sanem Aydin?" the silver-haired woman inquired.

Ugh! Don't tell me these ladies are cable vision saleswomen? I really can't deal with telling them that I switched to streaming my favorite shows. "Yes" I replied, crossing my arms defensively, ready to send them on their way.

"We're Naomi and Alara, and we were sent by Can Divit," the tall woman said, her voice smooth and confident. "We're here to do your makeup and style you for the award show."

"Wait, what?! Give me a sec." I smiled nervously and closed the door, needing a moment to process this. I quickly grabbed my phone and called Can. After three rings, he picked up, and I dove straight into it. "Can, what are you doing? Did you hire stylists?!"

He laughed. "I want to spoil you, so please accept it."

"Can, have you lost your mind?" I protested, half-amused and annoyed.

"Well, look at that... I have to go. See you later, and please enjoy it." I could hear his brilliant smile through the phone.

I sighed heavily. "Fine. I'll see you tonight." With a mix of excitement and apprehension, I opened the door for the ladies. "Sorry about that!" I said, forcing a smile. "Let's get started."

Naomi and Alara exchanged glances, their expressions brightening. "We're so excited to work with you!" Naomi said, stepping inside with a confident stride. Alara followed, wheeling in a very large suitcase. "You are beautiful" Alara said, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

I led them to the living room, where they began unpacking their supplies. As they set up, I couldn't help but feel a mix of nerves and anticipation.

"Can you tell us a bit about your style?" Naomi asked, her silver hair catching the light as she turned to face me.

"I usually go for comfortable and casual," I admitted, glancing down at my sweatpants. "But I guess tonight is different."

"Tonight is all about glamour!" Alara chimed in, her voice filled with excitement. "We're going to make you shine."

As they began to work their magic, I felt a flutter of nerves in my stomach. Would I really be able to pull off whatever they had in mind? But as they chatted and laughed, I found myself relaxing, swept up in their enthusiasm. Alara was curling my hair with a curling iron and pining the strands right away.

"Just wait until you see the dress we brought for you," Naomi said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "It's going to be perfect for the awards." I couldn't help but smile at the thought.

I stared at my reflection in the bathroom after six hours of pampering and another half hour of trying on designer dresses, I hardly recognized myself. "Look at you," Naomi said. She twirled her finger in a circle, and I spun for her. "You look perfect!" She gush.
