3. Puss In Boots

After the night at the boneyard Topper had brought the girls back to Tannyhill as he didn't want to be caught drunk driving on the way back from the Cameron's to his and Lobes house.

Topper leaving them to go stay in Rafes room while the two drunk girls dragged Sarah's younger sister Wheezie out to stay on the Cameron's boat, the only place with working air conditioning after the storm.

That is currently where both Sarah and Love were as they laid flat out trying to nurse their hangovers away as somebody came banging around the boat.

"Wheezie, shut up", Sarah reprimanded, thinking it was her sister making all the noise.

"God", Love moaned in on as she felt her head pang more at every loud bang, another one sounding out even louder.

"You're not Wheezie", Sarah said in surprise, having sat up to yell at her sister only to be met with a completely different person.

Love hadn't fully taken in Sarah's words as she kept her eyes closed as she tried to block out any of the noise.

"Correct. Yeah", the foreign male voice made Love spring up from where she was laid down, shooting up from her spot on the couch next to Sarah to see John B.

"What the...", she tiredly trailed off, highly confused on why he was here on the boat so early in the morning.

"I'm sorry", he apologized to both the very tired and seriously hungover girls.

"What are you doing here, perv?", Sarah now asked with a wiggle of her brows.

"Uh...i'm not a perv, i'm just dropping off some scuba gear", John B assured to them on why he was here, gesturing to the scuba gear he held in his hands. "What are- Uh- What are you doing ....here?", he then asked.

"It's our boat", Sarah answered him with a 'duh' tone, reminding him who the boat actually belonged to. The Cameron's. "It's also the only place with air conditioning", she then sighed in explanation.

"Right...", John B trailed off.

"Did you, um...top up the tanks?", Sarah then asked, remembering when he'd took them yesterday.

"Uh...No. No, powers gone down, so the compressors were off", he explained to her through a stutter, seeming to have just came up with the excuse.

"So, you're sneaking onto the Cameron's boat at five am with empty tanks?", Love asked him as she gave a look to the gear he held and then to John Ba face as he stood frozen in the middle of the room. "I'll make sure to tell Ward", she then assured him with a too friendly smile.

"Okay. Okay. Cool. Cool", he kept repeating himself as he nodded at her answer. "Just drop these off", he then told her almost panickedly.

"Yeah, yeah, the middle of the room is fine", now Sarah gave out to him as she watched him just throw everything right in the middle of the floor.

"Yeah, this is pretty much what he told me to do...so", John B trailed off as he placed everything down and then went to leave.

"Bye", Sarah sarcastically waved him off as she went to lie down again.

"Actually, you know, what- What exactly were you gonna tell your dad?", John B spun back around on his foot to face the two girls, mostly Sarah, a nervous chuckle coming up from his throat.

"Nothing much", Sarah loosely told him with a sigh. "Just that you poached our scuba gear."

"Okay, fuck", John B now stressed out as he looked around trying to find what to say. "I borrowed it for a few hours."
