A/N happy belated birthday to our aizawa!!!
⚡︎Aizawa POV⚡︎
Growing up, I always tried to blend into the wall. I would tell myself all the time that I didn't really need friends, but every time I looked to my side, there she was. Always there with a smile on her face. No matter what kind of day I will be having, she knew how to make it better and helped me with whatever came across my path. If I was going through a silent battle, she was able to sense it and stayed with me no matter what.
"Aizawa, are you ok?!" I was 17 years old. I had tied myself once again with my binding cloth, but this time I was hanging upside down in the gym. Where I would spend most of my time if I wasn't in class. You can say this was my way of coping with grief.
"Why are you still at school? It's late and we have class tomorrow." Michelle started to scold me as she helped me out. I shrugged at her question. "I wanted to continue to practice, that's it ." I sat on the mat that I have fallen on too many times. Rubbing the back of my neck, feeling sore once again.
"Your hands are all cut up! Let me help you treat them." She got a hold of hands. Covered in dry blood and blisters. Michelle ran to get the nearest first aid kit. It's crazy that I have known her since we were kids, yet I don't know her at all at the same time. How is that even possible?
I went through my mental file I had on the girl I have known for years, while I looked down at her treating my injuries. Her quirk? Flashvolt. She's able to run faster than anyone else, making her able to gain electric powers as well and manipulate it how she wanted. Age? 16. I'm only 4 months older. Favorite snacks? Jello and strawberry milk. Favorite color? Yellow. Because it became mine too the moment she told me it was hers. What does she do at Hero Commision? What are her missions like? Why did they seek her out so young? Has she ever even asked for help?
I held her hand, making her big beautiful eyes look up at me. I can feel my heart start to beat fast and my face starts to feel just a bit warm. I want to get closer to her. If I want her to rely on me, I need to prove to her I will rely on her too. "Spend more time with me." Her eyes flickered at me, giving me a confused look. Damn it Shouta. Don't make it sound like a demand! "I see the way you fight. The way you dodge, block, punch and simply move, it's amazing. Your style will help me get better. Please train me!" Michelle's eyes sparkled with excitement and that smile that I loved to see on her face appeared. "As long as you don't give up on me, I got you!"
13 years later. I am still in the same spot, if not further back.
I'm walking towards her room with her favorite dinner to catch up with one another. Now that her workload has gotten lighter, I have asked Yamada if he can help me with mine as well. It makes sense why Pro Heroes really don't date. Finding the time it's nearly impossible, but not if it's with the person you crave so much that it starts to hurt to not see them. Then finding time will never be an issue.
I knock at her door, and it slightly opens. She must have left it open. "Hey, it's me. Are you in there?" No response. "I'm going to come in if that's fine." I fully opened the and took a step in.
Her room was cold. The only sign that someone lived in the room was the unmade bed. I continue walking around. This wasn't anything like her room back at home. Her belongings were still in the boxes, her clothes were still in a suitcase, and her bathroom just had the daily essentials. It threw me off that it wasn't decorated brightly like her. I walked past her desk, covered in loose papers. The only book that was on her shelf was a big red thick leather book and it gave such a negative feeling. I don't ever remember seeing it at all. When did she get it? What is it? I tried to reach out to open it, but something in me told me that I was going to hate myself for it.
