It's been nearly a week since Amelia and I have been living here in the Eastern Empire. To sum things up, it's pretty fun here but boring sometimes. The good food and sights are amazing but the people here in the castle aren't any fun.

They pretty much stick to a strict schedule of doing what they have to do and their loyalty to serve Circe. To be short, it's like having a bunch of Amelia's walking around. Pretty boring.

But after my dinner with Circe, Vivian showed me around the castle the next day. It was pretty hard trying to remember where everything was cause the place is so big. Maybe four times the size of my old place.

Speaking of home, before we left, Circe and mother exchange carrier pigeons so mother and I can exchange letters. It's been nice to talk to her. She said that my brothers were a little upset that I moved away but I doubt that.

Anyways, unlike back home, the Eastern Empire is much more advanced. All the roads are made out of stone and not dirt, everyone has a home and job, there's no poverty, every child has free education, and medicine can easily be bought. I mean, Circe has done an amazing job running this place. Despite always going to war. I wonder how she can afford all this.

"Ah, my apologies." Snapping out of my thoughts, I turned to the man I just bumped into. He was a little taller than me and wore a fancy suit, carrying a few pieces of paper. Obviously a noble.

He scoffed, rolling his eyes before looking me up and down. I'm just wearing a casual shirt and pants with boots since nothings happening today. "Watch we're your going." He spat. And just like that, he turned around and started walking away. Rude.

Pouting, I rubbed my slightly aching shoulder. "I said that I was sorry. What a jerk." Lifting my hand, I grinned at the pin I was holding. "I'll just take this." Looking away from the man and at the pin, I flipped it over a couple times. It had the symbol of a boat. A trader perhaps?

Humming, I put it in my pocket. Turning my head at a window to see a boy taking a horse back into a stable. Grinning, a thought hit me. It won't hurt to go on a little ride and explore would it?

Walking downstairs, outside, and over to the stables, I looked around before slipping inside, leaving the door slightly ajar. Seeing rows of horses, a grin grew on my face as I rubbed my hands. "Dealers choose, I see. How fun."

Slowly walking down the stalls, horses eyeing me as I did do. I read their names. Winston. Storm. Thunder. Duke. Clover. Buttermilk. Snowball. Chestnut. One caught my eye, Lady Night.

Going over to her stall, I peaked inside to see this most elegant horse I've ever seen. She was pure black, her black mane long and tamed. A little bigger than a normal horse but breathtaking, this Lady Night is.

Undoing the latch, I stepped inside. She snapped her attention to me and started stomping her hoof, ears back. I raised my hands and stopped. "No, no, no. It's okay. I'm not gonna to hurt you." I spoke in a gentle whisper.

Stomping her hoof one more time, Lady Night stopped. Her ears still down as she stared at me, huffing. Taking a step closer, hands still raised, Lady Night didn't move.

Slowly taking step after step until I finally reached Lady Night, she didn't move away when I slowly began to pet her. Her coat is so soft.

Petting Lady Night for a while, I grinned when she relaxed, her ears perking up. "There we go, Lady. See? I'm not gonna hurt you." She huffed in response. Still petting her, I looked around the stall, spotting a pair of reins hanging.

Grabbing it and putting it on Lady Night, I didn't bother to put a saddle on her and simply got up her back. Rubbing her neck as I leaned forward in her ear. "Let's go, Lady." Snorting, Lady Night pushed open the door and walked out of her stall. Doing the same with the stable door.
